I was interested in electric as an option for a shopping cart, then it became a political control tool and now we're told it's the only future having your electric car hooked up to the grid through a smart meter and expensive bird blender electricity. Meanwhile in the none political, none media controlled world, we're making petrol out of corn, we're making it out of literally the air around us. Synthetic hydrocarbon is the future but we're not told about it because the processing plants could be made very small, small enough to even privately own and that takes away control. Sorry to get deep and political on your mad modz but please do not fall for the electric narrative, it's entirely political.

you aren't wrong about a Subaru being fun to drive. I had a beat to hell 2000 Legacy Outback wagon a couple of years ago I bought as a winter beater (our winters suck here in New York)It had 156, 000 miles on the clock, was ugly green and gold and it was an absolute blast to drive on our twisty roads here, even with a tired 2. 5L (EJ251) hooked to a 5speed manual. And in the snow, it made anyone feel like a rally pilot. There is a ton of validity to your comment on the Lezbaru's driving characteristics. Kind of sorry I sold it back in 2016.

just a quick comment, I'm sure somebody has already mentioned this, but the biggest advantage of a double wishbone suspension vs a MacPherson suspension, is that with a double wishbone setup the wheel isn't tilted when it goes up and down, but remains more or less perpendicular to the ground rather than changing it's angle, and thus theoreticly allow for better contact with the ground when going over rough track or whatever: )

Studs VS Bolts
Didn't really see anyone in the upper section of the comments answering the question.
This is something I was talking about to my friend who was a BMW technician for around 30 years.
So basically from what I was able to collect, studs have a better clamping force and are harder to cross thread, but are not as widely used because they're inconvenient.

I put wheel studs on my e36 years ago and loved having them since then. I wrench on it pretty often, so I take the wheels off frequently enough to justify it. Only downside I've come across is now I have to take one of the studs off in the rear to adjust my parking brake shoes.

Strut braces only work 100% IMO when they are WELDED in when the chassis is on a jig to keep it square, installing a bolt in one on uneven ground also can make the alignment worse as I've experienced, bolt in ones installed on flat ground are perfectly fine and do make a difference.
