How would you go about choosing the right sway bar for your car? I have a 1986 Chevy Camaro Sport Coupe. I've owned it for about 6 months, and it's a great car. Handles amazingly well for a mid 80's muscle car! I want to drop a new motor in it in the spring (currently has a 5. 0l 305ci v8, and I'd like to put a 6. 3l 383ci v8 in it. I'm upgrading the brakes, might do a rear wheel drum-to-disc brake conversion. I also really have my mind set on upgrading that bouncy stuff. Your car is only as good as it handles. What's the use of 500 horsepower if your car can't handle it! Anyway, if you could give any tips or advise on choosing the right swinger bars. I mean sway bars! I'd appreciate it! thanks!

Instead of using a lubrication to the rubber bushings that will soften or make a lovely grinding paste with dirt cut 2 denim strips and glue it in place on the bushings with crazy glue, this will prevent premature wear and stops bushing squeaks and don't need to lubrication at all. Done this to my one car and have driven now for 100000KM and it's over 4 years now with no squeaks.

i welded a sway bar from a 1997 ford escort onto my 1992 GMC sierra's rear axle. i custom made axle and frame brackets. improvement in handling at 60mph to +80mph, but it slides more on gravel. the front end feels a bit sloppy now. the tall tires make its booty wiggle under hard lane changes. its a fun pickup to drive. even with 1000lbs of floor boards in the box. 5. 7L V8 chevy toque. :)

If you're thinking that it's because it's a mazda that there is a lot of rust under it you might be wrong. All the vehicle here in canada have almost the same problem because of the winter but mostly because of de-icing sodium we use on the road. I've read somewhere that this kind of stuff happen also for car that are near coast where the salt from the ocean do the same.

6 years later and still saddening to be canadian after watching this. lol. did he paint that sway bar and flip it while it was still wet leaving those marks on it? You guys should come to Peterborough in Ontario for a Rally race with WRC to see where 'drifting' comes from. where they drift with 4wheel drive!

you will be replacing the bushing, s in less than a year grease on rubber, grease eats rubber sorry to tell you, next time use silicone grease its specifically designed for bushings, I found out the hard way, I greased all my new suspension bushings only to find out I should have used silicone grease.

One suggestion for this vehicle is that in order to avoid corrosion under that car, is to paint the suspension parts, as well as the chassis parts. There are a lot of great products out there, and even tutorial videos on these products. Other than that, nice video, thanks for sharing.
