I just realized the true beauty of this video. They build a sleeper for cheap and have fun and then actually chop unsuspecting cars at the drag strip which was exactly the purpose of this build. Including a Commodore V8 RWD car that definitely did not expect to be beaten by a completely stock looking Cressida lol. This is a car that should have been kept maybe, a lot of potential with that small lightweight rwd 6 cylinder turbo platform.

Or you buy a stock FTO GPX for 3000 that's P Plate Legal and hits those 100 times pretty easily without the hassles of an engine swap. Only down sides are they're low volume so parts are a harder find, they're fwd so not the option most people will choose, and they're 2 door so not as convenient or comfy as the Cressida. 1JZ Cress would most likely chop in the quarter mile though.

Hey guys need some inputs here please! Guy just called me and they swap a 1jz from a royal saloon into a 98 Lexus gs300 and swap engine and harness still using Lexus ecu but the car won't shit according to him and with the royal ecu starts and turn off. My question is if there any way to swap the chip from one ecu to another or any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

a 7m-gte makes more power than your worked 1jz that's why the 1jz didn't go in the 90's ma70 supra which had a 7m-gte. I get that the Cressida motor is a ge and not a gte but even so they arent terribly wweak mtors they make 150 kw/204 hp from the factory which was a big deal for an N/A 6 cylindeer in 1992

This video changed my mind about the new Mitsubishi's Fords and Subaru's in the drag strip I just realise sleepers with good engines and comfortable sets can always win they're a bit rubbish but that doesn't mean the are slow

I loved the car and also main thing is that they kept it original look which for some people the car looked standard but no one new on the road that this car was nearly fast as lambo I bet this would even leave that behind.

If your car is factory (Not including evo/wrx/r3-) don't even try to race it. anywhere. just drive the speed limit and go home. Those falcons were just embarrassing.
