Cheap turbos are easy to get on eBay but how much do they really cost once you factor in all the other parts you need to make them work properly? In this episode, we break down the exact costs of our budget turbo conversion on Yaris Hilton. Be sure to

dont forget an engineering certificate to make it road legal/non liable in the case of an accident/death, which is another 1-2k, mechanics in Australia are rip-offs, the strict laws don't favour the average earner either, they told me 300 to remove service my 4 injectors even though I supplied the service kit, my car cost 1200.
also some things cant be certified because they're not adr stamped which is the most ridiculous thing in Australia, since when does Australian standards overpower American, Japanese or European quality standards in vehicle parts? they just need some common sense or allow a place to get a stamp of approval because they obviously dont make aftermarket parts, at least not for imports, long story short, if u are an enthusiast/builder, the only way to have everything is by hiding things and taking the risk.

Guys I really liked project Yaris. When you all initially joked about the idea I thought it wasn't serious and you guys did it and the way it all worked. It felt like watching a movie. The funny video with the whip cream and then the Yaris dying after completing its fastest lap ever. I almost cried and I like your all's other build quite a bit more but I guess since the Yaris turned from meme to machine it helped create the video I've been waiting for for years.
On the next few builds you do I would love to see something like this video here. I want to boost my car so freaking bad and I'm really close. Just need a few more saved back. And after I boost it I'm going to make a my town and show you guys: DDDD Love MCM Love Marty and Moog and everyone whos helped out the chan. My favorite ppl in the down under: D

One thing I used to tell people all the time is you can have two of the three. fast cheap reliable. pick 2. But you cannot have all three. No matter what it is you're going to spend anywhere from 5 to 20 grand to make it fast. the more people that are doing that type of vehicle. the cheaper it is. And the better you get at Electronics the cheaper it is. I've always done megasquirt and I'm done over a 100k miles of driving on them. other people can't even get it to start smh. One thing that is easy for some people other things are super easy for those people. I'm good at Electronics and wrenching but I can't weld. Lol probably cuz I've never had a good welder but I won't spend the money on one cuz I'm to cheap.

Hi Chaps, I think you went down the wrong track with this car mod. Enjoyed the build tho. Should have gotten a 2000 Yaris/Vitz. The 2NZ is good engine. Big injectors a good cam, open ports in the head, then a good exhaust system. Put good quality set of shocks in and youll have an awesome 1300cc that loves corner, light and most importantly youll have smile on your face for ages. Would have cost way less than the Yaris Hilton.
Reason for this build, have you ever seen the mini take on the mustang round circuits back in the day.
Would love to see you do this with this car or something similar

In other words: Before you buy turbo. make sure your motor block can handle many boost.
Because if your car is modified and ready to drive, and blow engine already after some days. its waste of money and time.
Start first with good engine block (choose good car) then you can modify it with turbo.
I think all extra stuff is not because 169 turbo. Even with 400 turbo, or 600 turbo, you need change everything anyway. So in general way, you need at least 13 grand to add turbo to your car and make it look nicer outside. And make it street legal.

Toyota yaris is a light, maniable vehicule. Even if it has not much power, it has potential on a small technical track. As they said, the best money you can spend to cut time is obviously on tires. Even the wheels, you can put cheap used 4x100 15 inch wheels and good track tires(re71r, nt-01, rs4 or even slicks. On that I will add camber bolts for the front end to make the front a little more gripy on corners. Turboing a toyota engine that was not meant for forced induction is a big waste of money in my opinion.

Hi, I'm from Russia, guys order from Russia 124 engine it is not expensive and you can collect a good configuration of 250-300 horses, but the checkpoint needs 103 rows and the main pair 3. 9-4. 1 and blocking, from 55 seconds 100% will output on the track and the content will be fire especially in Russia, if you collect and correctly configure the online engine will be a gun and easily 1jz Does it work(The comment was written through a translator, sorry if something is wrong, I do not know English)

Why its better to spend 10k+++++ of my money that I dont have into a 1k car that I know it will not get finish annnnd if it did, it will not be reliable because I cheped out on cheap shit, theeeeeen here comes the regret feeling and now im broke and can't pay for my bills while getting gap by a stock used 15k car that I could of just finance it and have a waaaay better car that isnt rusted to shit.
And that is about 99% of car enthusiast right there.

AWESOME series guys! Yaris Hilton is an inspiration. Someone will say build an engine on a stand first, forged internals, yadda yadda, yadda. BUT. the 2ZR-FE is a killer easy awesome engine swap. I quote Jeremy Clarkson It Does not matter what car you have. driving on the very edge of the capability of that car, is what makes driving it exciting. Peace from Canada. It's Cold here in Winnipeg.

7: 00 Okay so I did the math and in USD that's only 900 rounded up and if you started with a better car you could spend more in mods but have to do far less modding in general. I would give you 900 RIGHT NOW to boost my car and my mechanic said it would cost me 1000 USD just to INSTALL a turbo and he builds fast cars for a living. Well done boys!
