I Quit, Closing My Car Repair Business, FavoredBless: Scotty, hi. Got a 03 Toyota Corolla and (think it's transmission) the belt that ran from the area where you use to shift the car to some where under the hood. Anyway had that change (only Toyota dealers sell the belt. So ever since the change my car (early in the AM) it stare fine drive fine but when I stop, the car start like it's trembling or kind of a putt putt sound and kinda rocking, shaking like. Hope this all makes sense. Do you have any idea what's the problem. Thanks in advance.

This is a good time for all the old-timer mechanics to retire. Because the new EV's and hybrids can be dangerous and require more training to repair. By the way following a self driven truck across the country is NOT Self Driven. Because a big part of engineering a self driven vehicle is the verification of the reliability requirements before you allow the truck to be self driven anywhere - and if you are following it, then you have not yet verified the Reliability and therefor. It is NOT being self driven. No different form when your mama followed you to school on those first days. You were not walking alone yet because you were still unreliable in finding your school. Which reminds me. a small girl in my 4th grade class was taken by a man on a motorcycle while she was walking home from school. He through her body off the Palos Verdes cliffs when he was finished with her. Home-school your children.

Analysts predict within 25 years all cars will be completely autonomous. You'll tell the car where you want to go and it will take you there while it keeps itself in proper lane, staying at the proper speed, staying a car link or 2 from from the car ahead, and taking the best route with the least amount of time to get to your destination. They said in 50 years when the technology has been around for a couple of decades, young people will say, is it true Dad people drove their cars all by themselves? How did anyone back in those days live because it would be so dangerous? Unfortunately I won't be around to see it, but it will happen and there will be much fewer highway deaths. And - there's going to be more unemployment, because trucking firms are about to put thousands of autonomous trucks on the highway with no driver.

Hey I have a strange problem with me brakes. I just recently acquired a 2002 Tahoe, before getting it the brakes were all replaced. I think something is wrong with it though. Sometimes when I go to use the brakes the vehicle makes a strange sound and vibrates while giving a hefty amount of resistance when applying pressure. Usually it will stop if I let off the brakes but I feel this isn't safe when driving. Have any ideas of what could be causing this and possibly how to fix it?

Hey Scotty, just bought a 2010 Mazda 3 with 148k miles and realized that the previous owner never did a transmission fluid change. I've heard a lot of scary stories about car transmissions going out if you change the fluid for the first time with high miles. Not having any transmission problems right now but want to make sure I do the right maintenance to make the car last longer. Should I get a transmission fluid change? Thanks

My mom had a 1967 Barracuda with the slant 6, and it did go all the way till we made her buy a newer car that was easier for her to handle. That relic had no power anything, no brakes, no steering, no nothing, neither did she, all she was left with was arthritis. But it was the car we kids grew up in as it was bulletproof, the weak link was the carburetor, but we did like you did Scotty, and made gaskets out of cereal boxes, lol.

I need you Scotty Kilmer on a Chrysler Pacifica 4. 0L AWD. Timing belt broke after it was replace 8 months ago and found out that the camshaft sensor did not have a screw in it, could this have caused it to cause the belt break? Now I need help putting a New belt on and now how to time it, not sure how or if I bent values. I would personally like to talk over phone if you have time. Thank you

Automation is the main reason Andrew Yang wants to give everyone (every US citizen 18 and older) UBI, he explains the details, he has friends working on that tech and it's very close. Please everyone check him out, and if you like what he says and wants to do, support him. Even 1. 00 would help with qualifications, and telling people about him would be free but help a great deal.

Hey Scotty I just wanted to thank you for your videos. Recently my stepdad passed away and he meant quite a bit to me anyway he was also an old school mechanic like yourself and watching you and your videos is like being able to see him again. Hope all is well with you and yours. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays
