From 2007-2012 Hyundai made a competitor to the RX350 called the Veracruz, and if you park them side by side the similarities are endless. Honestly, until we stumbled across the Veracruz I had no idea that Hyundai made such a nice vehicle because in my mind they were still little Korean econo-boxes that nobody wants but damn was I wrong. The Hyundai actually looks nicer and more upscale believe it or not, and the use of lots of blue lighting inside is what sealed the deal for my wife. We still currently have our 2007 Veracruz, which currently has 320, 000 miles and literally everything still works. Now don't get me wrong, in no way am I suggesting that it's better than the Lexus, as the ride isn't as nice and we damn sure aren't getting 24mpg highway like Scotty said the Lexus in this video gets, but for the miles and the fact that it's never left us stranded along with everything still working, I have not a bad word to speak of this particular Hyundai. Of course it's always had regular oil changes with synthetic only, along with the other common maintenance done by myself to ensure it's always done and done right, but it's still impressive nonetheless.

Did you make this video cause I mentioned mine back in January, I picked on up dec 21 2019. 08 rx350 91, 254 miles. Im doing a tranny drain and refill and the front rear diff plus transfer case. I also mentioned I heard that this is the only vehicle that has never had anyone die in a accident, is that amazing? Also picked up a 2000 es300 for 1000 4 weeks ago. 167000 miles and runs smooth. I had a 95 Camry xle gold trim package with Lexus 3. 0L it had 227, 000 till it got hit Dec 2, was totaled. I was pretty sad. Had it 11 yrs. my point is I own nothing but toyota and Lexus Ive worked at most dealerships working parts service and shop foreman and Im sold on toyota. Oh that 3. 5L has a timing chain dont have to ever worry bout that belt lol. Thanks U make great videos, keep them coming Scotty

Its an awesome suv for sure Too expensive though unless I had that kind of money or wanted a vehicle I can keep for over 13 years. Unfortunately most of us only keep a car for about 7 years at the most because new technology is changing like crazy. Only good thing about newer cars, 2019 and up is the safety features like lane departure warning, auto brake hold, collision avoidance, standard back up camera etc even in the base models especially if you have teen drivers or elderly relatives you want the most safety incase they mess up the newer cars can stop themselves.

I just (2days ago) bought a 2000 RX300, 4WD 192k, Super clean for 3K. I was driving a 2000 RX300, 2WD 260K that had a tran seal pump leak for 6 YEARS and 60K, I just kept a carpet down to catch the overflow leak and added new trans fluid. I got it for 1000, 6 years ago. I got life time parts on most stuff I bought at Auto Zone for my RX300, plus a whole spare truck. I still need to find a damn cargo cover. why are they all missing, who took them all? Mine where made in Japan

My dad has the exact same car we bought it brand new in 08 that engine is literally bulletproof it has 80k miles on it one day he was driving it and all the sudden he heard a knocking noise and he didnt know what it was so he kept driving for about 40ish miles and after that when he came home i saw that the oil cooler line was known to blow so i checked and yeah that was leaking out engine oil so i replaced that and the engine still sounds mint and the knocking went away

Looks in garage. 2015 Lexus RX350, bought in 2017, CPO with the warranty running to 2023. Scotty is correct here. Only issue I've had was a dead battery, well it was 4 1/2 years old when it died. Bought at 18k mi, now has 52k mi and paid for next month. Not buying another one until I have to. thinking 2030? maybe. Haha. And that long trip comfort. went from North Texas to Maine last summer and back. almost 6000 miles of driving total. Love those seats

I have a 04 lexus LS and man is it amazing for only 7000 with 145k miles. I bought it because of reliability reports and advice of mechanics including scotty. Have just had to do oil changes since buying it. He's right about long road trips I was amazed because I usually after 1-1. 5 hours I felt stiff and needed to stretch but in my lexus I've taken a 3 hour trip and when I got out I wasn't stiff at all.

For all those who knock Toyota. that cruise control stalk is the same as my 13 Taco and wifes 16 RAV4. This is why Toyota is so good. when a part is proven reliable. just keep using it. Toyota factory is in Cambridge on Maple Grove Rd. When Toyota opened their factory, real estate went sky high and made Cambridge a well off city. Many who work at the Toyota factory earn 30/hr. A lot of good paying jobs.
