Here\'s Why This Toyota Luxury Car is a Scam Bill: You mean never buy a car without knowing the basics. If the oil is black, means they havent changed it before trying to sell it. Same goes for any of the fluids. From that you can deduce that they dont really care for the car. Just trying to make money. Im an example. I know cars. Have dozens of books on them, have replaced piston rings, bearings, basically ive rebuilt motors (to an extent, i paid 900 for my 05 ford exploder (yes i said exploder, 250, 000 miles on its 4. 0 v6. Ive had it for 2 years and have never had motor problems. Ive had to replace the alternator, a thermostat, one of the wheel bearings, the plugs and cables, along with a new distributor cap. Other than regular full synthetic oil changes every 7, 000 miles (which is what the original owner did, and brakes, its never given me a single issue. Gonna redo the brakelines soon, upstate new york rust sucks

Although I know that all cars are not created equally. I must say that the way you take care of your car will be the most important factor in how long the engine I have a 2008 Nissan that currently has around a 190K. I change my oil on time and I drained my CVT every 50K. So far, I have not had any issues other than my tire pressure monitor lights always being on. I see people who have cars with 20000K miles, but you can already tell that the engine is starting to suffer from the lack of care. It's always amazing to see somebody buy something for 25, 000 but neglect spending 15-25 every 5 months for an oil change.
