This makes me sad for america and ford talon55130: The biggest reason Ford is most likely dropping electric vehicles is that they run on Lithium Ion batteries. The largest deposits of Lithium are from Ghazni Province China and most of the batteries are also made in China. I and obviously Ford see BIG PROBLEMS with anything coming from China in the near future. After all this flu mess China is going to be handed one hell of a bill by the entire planet Earth. That's not going to go well with them.

I like the quoted specs. of the Rivian vehicles. But for the moment at least, that s all they are, a pile of 0s &1s in a lot of computers. and I m a person who s interested in EVs and their associated tech. Rivian gained unicorn status as a startup last year. Before that, I thought they may actually make more than just two show vehicles. Over a year ago, they were saying, they d be have production by late 2021, now it s 2022-2023. They ve been in stealth mode for ten years+, perhaps they ll be heading back. I hope not; but when even the rats start leaving the shop.

About 20 years ago, there was a town I lived in with a good ol boy network, this worked to my advantage 90% of the time being friends with a good chunk of the cops. My pd bestowed nickname was border patrol I ran out the punks that they couldn't on my own accord so making their jobs easier (without having to ask) made my life easier. We used to race & have burnout contests during third shift. What they loved more than dunkin donuts was doing donuts. pretty fun guys. I wouldn't buy a crown vic from there

The only time that exists, is the moment and the moment is eternal! Automatic transmissions for large vehicles has been given to the military, to see if they can break them. Besides, women can't handle heavy clutches and non synchronized transmissions as easily as men! So, best guess is, that some electric vehicle classes will be tested through the military. Give me a pre-smog, sixties, carburetor, straight six cylinder, anything American, for a forever car!

Hey Scotty, I got a 2010 Rav 4 that burns about 2 quarts of oil between oil changes. I am the original owner and have done all maintenance myself after the warranty ran out, its got about 120, 000 miles and calls for 0w20 or 5w20. I use 5w20. Would using a heavier weight oil (5w30 or 5w40) help reduce the amount of oil it burns? Would using a higher performance oil help reduce the amount of oil burned? What would you recommend?

I recently purchased a 1993 Lexus ES300 with a 5 Speed Manual and 148, 000 miles. I had to have the LEDs in the dash needles replaced on two (2) gauges. Except for that and one (1) other issue, she runs like a dream. It has an AIR BAG light ON. As it is OBD1, I tried the wire dance to clear the light. No joy. What can I do to either get the codes, clear the light, or should I just ignore it as the seat belts work.

Hey Scotty, I have recently found your videos and I am loving them. I have a question, I have a 03 GMC Sierra, it is in good condition but has 297000 km on it (185000 miles) and I want to get my truck a lift/rims/paint job but there is so many km on it, would it better to get a truck with less km on it and then soup it up? Rather than giving my current truck a soup up?

Hey Scotty, my dad's got a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, beautiful truck, never had a problem with anything but the transmission, lately though, me and my dad noticed every time we start it and get on the road immediately, we hear a whistling coming from either the air vents or some other spot just in front of the cab, you got any idea of what it could be?

I agree with Toyota's are realible. They're just using same system with few modifications. With that, they perfected their quality. But, this should also be the concern as they don't innovate. Borrows tech from other companies like BMW (Supras) and, Suzuki's for their Asian MPVs. Both companies mentioned on this video.
