7: 18 Please don't listen to this man, the 5. 3 and 6. 2 liter engines from Tahoes are GREAT engines look at mine. Mine has 210, 000 miles and its a 2007, I bought it with 120k miles and I never ABSOLUTELY ever had any engine or trany problem! Only problems I had was emission problems the selenoid valve and the purge valve and the oil sensor which gives you the incorrect oil pressure once it gets bad but that only costs like 10 or less. This guy is too cheap, yes you can find toyotas for less than 2000 that still runs but you surely cant find a Tahoe the would run decent for less than 5000, they are EXPENSIVE vehicles, you have to pay way more that you would pay for a toyota if you want a decent one. I payed 10k for it ( it is the ltz model ) and actually I was very lucky because where I live, dealerships are selling 200k miles Tahoes for 8k-9k. This guy cant even afford one of those. He says buy a toyota buy a honda but dont pay more than 1500 for it, WHAT? here in Florida a 1500 car is a car with wheels falling off, where in the world does this guy even lives? LOL. You buy a 1000 car here and the engine is missing bahahhaah

Sorry Scotty, but you're showing your ignorance about Suzuki. You can't say they aren't really a car company. They are the tenth biggest car maker in the world. They sell in many countries. There are plenty of them here in Australia. They're all over Asia, South Africa. Almost 200 countries have Suzuki cars. Just because they pulled out of the US doesn't mean they aren't popular cars, or that they're inferior quality. They are a budget car maker, but they are quite highly regarded - certainly seen as more reliable than Nissan these days. You should probably research this matter more rather than catering only to a doesn't apply to us American audience. It's fine if you want to say it's not a wise buy for a US buyer if the parts support isn't there, but don't speak for the whole world.

I would buy a Lexus over a Toyota though same car just has a luxury tag think Lexus is more reliable. If bought a used Lexus it would be ES 350 or LS 430 those are great cars. Never touch Acura or Honda products nothing wrong with both just prefer older Honda my neighbor across the street just bought a Civic or is a white two door coupe he bought from some young people only thing he needs is new tags has two flat tires other day saw him inside of it guess trying figure how work the stuff inside of it no sure if running.

Scotty, I am looking at a '98 RAV4 with 220, 000 miles, the seller states: the only issue is an oil leak that seems to occur mostly just after startup. It doesn t leak when parked, but there are signs of a leak underneath and it will drip if left idling in one spot after a cold start. Seems to stop or slow drastically after warmed up. This causes it to lose a quart every oil change or so. The exhaust is NOT smoking, so again, this is a leak and not burning oil. What do you think the problem could be?

Lexus hybrids are expensive to repair too. I disagree with Scotty. If you can not afford a Lexus, get a Toyota. Lexus and Toyota are nearly equal in reliability. The problem with Lexus is, that it doesn't get the tech the Toyotas get. In my case I wanted a Lexus but the new facelifts are mostly ugly and the older has old tech (and most importantly a older hybrid system. That's why I get the Corolla hybrid. I will sound deading it and it gets a proper autopilot. Welcome to the future!

Usually a used Lexus Is a good deal because they were driven older folks, who maintained the vehicle and drove less recklessly. Though, you can still find good used Toyota s like that, many were purchased as commuter cars or by people who just drove it, till the wheels fell off. Also, Lexus parts tend to be more expensive than plain Toyota parts. You should know that Scotty; you even said so in one of your earlier videos. Smiley

This time Scotty is actually wrong, he didn't experience Suzuki cars cause they're unavailable in the US but they're like the 3rd most reliable Japanese car brand, Toyota first, Honda second, Mazda is 4th. They're simple cars, very popular in 3rd world countries, and very reliable and cheap to fix, they have one of the best fuel economies aswell. Mitsubishi are less reliable and are a cheap car brand aswell, but worse.

Okay I I usually agree with you but Yukons and Tahoes if maintained properly and you don't overload them are good trucks all they are is a 1500 what's the age of the 5. 3 which I think this crap and the 5. 7 which is usually pretty damn good but I will have to say the 4 L 60 e transmission can be crap but if you do the 4 L 60 conversion and beef up the internal a little bit mainly the belts they are good Transmissions
