Hey Scotty, what do you think of a 2002 Toyota 4runner with the 3. 4L v6 engine and 220k miles as my daily driver. I've had it for a year now and only problems I've had are a few oil leaks, a few transmission slips, and some hesitation. had my mechanic get water out of my engine after I drove through deep water going fast. The check engine light was flashing and the whole truck was shaking like crazy, but it never stalled once. The tach needle kept dropping past 500rpm but never did stall out. Drove it for 35 or 40 minutes like this to my mechanic and he told me I was lucky I didn't blow the engine. I'm amazed at how solid these trucks are and how it refused to die that day.

I run by the Chevy dealership by my house when I m out for a jog every day and once in a while I ll pause and look at some of the stickers. Just yesterday I looked at a Colorado ZR-2 and almost fell on the ground laughing when I saw it was 52k! I paid 24k for a nicely equipped 1500 4x4 5. 3 crew cab Silverado brand new back in 04 and 40k for a nicely equipped 2500 4x4 gas crew cab back in 2014. I remember thinking it was ridiculous that I had to pay 40k for new truck just six years ago, I can t imagine how pissed I ll be at what I have to pay in two or three years when I have to buy a new truck.

Not that I don't believe him because I am a big Toyota and Honda person and I know they make quality products, but he's always advising people to get big V-8 engines for trucks. If someone has that 2. 7L 4-cylinder in a Tacoma and he's talking about people pulling weight, wouldn't that wear out the engine prematurely? Kind of similar to how he talks about the EcoBoost engines of Ford wearing out from pulling so much weight?

Hey Scotty love the videos, hopefully you can answer this question next video. I just put a transmission with 60k miles into my 2001 honda prelude, im now having trouble shifting into my 5th gear and reverse, the shifter feels really stiff going towards the right and is impossible to get into 5th when the car is in motion. I want to guess it's my shifter cable but not sure any ideas? Thanks

Eh, a 40k cybertruck isn't THAT huge a vehicle figure these days, and the money saved on gas over the vehicle's life should pay for 5 to 15k of that. Now Tesla is lame about right to repair, dealership network, and all that, but IF it's a good and reliable vehicle, it's a very attractive prospect imho. Most of what I've read about it in car media makes me like it more.

One of your best videos. Thank you. That last question: Have you been caught speeding? I love your answer: . They never caught me. .For ME: at the age of 17 I had 6 tickets for speeding. At 18 l lost my license for a year on my next speeding ticket. I drove the entire year, but was careful to not get a ticket. I just drive at a safe speed. I got my license in 1971.

id say that is a shitty thing about tacos. the 4L has no bonuses. no nav, back up cam, just bone stock. reliable. but boring lol. unlike the pro version has the manual, upgrade radio, rims, stocks etc. i wish the 4 beater was like that. esp the 2020 pro had the great looking green color. so for green. manual. u need to pay what 50K? and v6 only. sad.
