If You Dont Have This Cheap Scan Tool Youre Stupid bd: Comments on scan tools. I have an older one to the point that I am considering donating it to charity. Tomorrow, I will be at my trusty mechanic and will ask him if he uses the diagnostic tool to anticipate repairs, not just to find immediate, must be corrected problems. Many parts stores will do scans on the alternator and battery for free these days. I remember the days when there were no scanners.

I truly appreciate your videos on so many. Aspects of all makes model vehicles. What you just said about the Subaru, I actually had to just throw away my Subaru last year 2001. I ended up paying more for a tow than 100 to junkyard gave me. In California 4 years you could not go to an auto parts store and get your code read For your car. It wasn't until approximately last year that they change the law obviously enough people complained. I was sick and tired of having to go to mechanics. I'll go to. Arizona Nevada border the country of Mexico and have my car. Have the code threat. This is ridiculous cuz of, California.

I don't think it's lazy at all to use a borescope to check brake pads. I'm somewhat biased due to having an 08 Grand Caravan that eats brake components like potato chips. As I write this it's on jack stands waiting for pads. The old ones only lasted a year. Wish you were giving away the borescope.

I gotta thumbs down this video; sorry. You said ThinkCar OBD dongle was the best. This ThinkCar device is now the best. It is cheaper than the dongle, even with the reader box attached You should have, at the very least, given a feature comparison and explanation for the price difference.

the car dad i wish i had, i've been using one of those mpg trainers to also read codes, but it can't tell me if it's ready to go take the emissions test, which has been a pain learning that i have to drive enough and the gas tank has to have the right fuel level and all.

It's called AutoZone or advanced auto parts or any auto parts store, they will check it for free in this lifetime and it's not NEWStop wasting money on something that's free at any auto parts store Buy it bc it's fun to have if you want?

Love your wisdom and knowledge scotty. Hopefully I win the obd scanner because I had bought that bluedriver, someone stole it and can't afford another one right now. I use to work on my family cars but I don't win I'll still be a fan

I tried BlueDriver as you suggested maybe a few years back. It works great. However, my car is old, rav4 2001. It doesn't provide much data as I expected. I love to try the cheap ODBII scanner one. Keep going Thanks.
