The Least Reliable Cars and Trucks of 2018 Thomas rocker: Ill tell you a little story. I own a recovery company. Now anyone in this business knows that some banks and financial institutions tend not to pick up their repossessed vehicles. I charge 20 bucks a day for storage fees. So combined with the original recovery fee and the storage fees, many times I will work out a deal with the financial institution, pay off the vehicle after deducting the various fees and then turn around and sell the vehicle. I had a Ford F150 and a Chevrolet 1500. The Ford was a 2012 and the Chevy was a 2014. Both had less than 60k miles. I decided to convert them into covert wreckers. You know the kind that dont look like wreckers, ( easier to sneak up on unsuspecting bad debtors. I spent a little over 4k each to convert them ( wheel lift, hydraulics, etc. I also have mostly Ford conventional wreckers and a GMC flat bed. I had nothing but problems with the Chevy wrecker and the GMC flat bed. Transmission and electrical, also the fit and finish sucked. I also notice that quite a few times over the years that the GM products that we repossessed were not running at the time of the repossession. After owning a recovery company for over 25 years, I would never buy a GM product. In my opinion Fords are much more reliable. Just my 2 cents.

Damn you must really hate dodge scotty bec Ive had multiple dodge 3500 and 2500 models from almost every generation none of them really have problems except simple maintenance and yes the trans arent that good thats why I always after the factory one goes put a aftermarket high torque trans that isnt cheaply made other than that mine really have none of those issues they are all amazing thats why I like them better than yotas gm ford all of those other major truck companies bec they are heavy duty made to last and have high power just like pretty much all dodges hell my first dodge I ever bought was a 1997 dodge ram 2500 24v Cummins it is still running today with about 600000 miles on it and other than the trans replacement 3 times Ive really had no problem with it other the the obvious stuff that you have to replace in all vehicles

Rev up you RAMS. BOOOOOM. I LEASED a 1994 Dodge Ram Scotty, that was the worst piece of garbage Ive ever had in my life, this truck had 18 factory recalls on it, put it this way Scotty, THANK GOD IT WAS A LEASE TRUCK. At the end of two years, I was grinning ear to ear when I put the keys back into the salesmens hand that sold it to me. He wanted me to either lease or buy another one, I told him not on your life, Im going down the road to the FORD dealer and I will be buying this truck. He wasnt happy, but I told him that Cry-slur needs to stop building garbage, this was back in 1996 when I brought this P. O. S. back to the dealer. Did Cryslur listen to its customers, of coarse not, here it is 2019 and their still punching out garbage.

I will say this. Spent a lot and I mean a lot learning the hard way what my dad and grandfather told me about Chrysler. If you prefer reliablity and quality and dont want to waste money then Chrysler is what you want. Hands down no questions asked. I went through a ton of money younger had Chevys and fords trucks and cars. You want to talk falling apart Chryslers never have as fast as the others have on me. Now that Ive been through it and wasted a lot of money Ive come to realize that you can say something about Chrysler if you want in videos and just because you say it and you want it to be true it just isnt the case. Chrysler has had and still has the best engine transmissions out there. Flat out

Elon Musk just needs to focus on the Tesla Car Company. Hes attempting to do way too much at once, thats why hes acting out lately. Hes burned out. He needs to focus on building a great car company, and let someone else worry about Space X, Hyperloop, etc. Also, stay the f out of semi trucks. The Tesla semi is horrible in every way, the Nikola 1 semi is so much better He made a single seater semi with the driver seat in the middle of the truvk? So dumb. Ive been a driver for 15 years, trust me, its a really dumb idea. Id focus on building Tesla, and ensuring a quality product, plus expanding into all the different personal vehicle types like pickups and large suvs.

Im a fan Scotty but I disagree about the Tesla Model X and some anti Tesla comments on here. Yes Tesla had some production issues that for the most part have been corrected or are constantly improving, all startups experience growing pains. All these other automakers, some that have been producing cars for over a century, went through this. Theyve had plenty of years to get good at panel gaps lol, give Tesla a break there Tesla is a new company yet in its short life so far has accomplished so much and is innovating like no other. Tesla is the future and it will only get better.

This is just for reference, my uncle has the last generation Toyota tundra with over 300k on it. Previously a Chevrolet suburban which fell apart from cheap plastics to engine problems. I have a 2007 kia Optima with 190, 000. It lasted, but too much work to maintain. Too many unique systems. Fuel systems, ac, cooling systems, and the suspension are weak. You might think how did it last this long. Extended warranty before a 100k, a good mechanic after, and i learned how to negotiate the rest. Always remember buying a car on a price point is not always good.

Cadillac has had electrical issues dating as far back as the 1980s. GM on a whole has fallen for years. I used to love Pontiac. Had a couple myself & they were the best of the GM brands. Ive stuck with Ford and Toyotas. Now my wife has had one had Ford (she bought an 01 Taurus against my advice) but I had 2 Probes both lasted over 300, 000 miles (SE & GT) all I ever replaced on those battery and water pump. I had a Mustang last almost 300, 000 miles with an OHV V6. I still have my 92 Celica ST. Even our first gen ZTS Focus lasted over 8 years.

Another Toyota and Honda infomercial at the expense of everybody else I have seen Teslas cars, and the quality and body fit is actually very good. And a styling all electric vehicle with decent range and performance, not some boring and SLOW Toyota Prius. Get real Scotty, get out of your old Toyota mindset and experience where technology is taking the auto industry. It may not be perfect, and there are always problems to be solved, but this technology is one hell of a lot better than the junk you are living with every day of your life

Your knowledge to the general public, it scares them, cuz if they make a mistake, your the guy that sees it immediately, your influence on customers could change a buyers opinion, this changes how they have to operate, also educates us layfolk beyond a level not knowing a damn thing, also forces them to make quality cars, maybe its possible for the corporation to bend to the publics whims. Thank you good sir. I look forward to watching u like I used to watch pokemon when I was 12, your like pokemon for adults.
