Its Friday! Two trains in service this day, and they meet at Berekvam station. Flm line between Myrdal and Flm is the steepest normal gauge (1435mm) railway in Northern Europe. The gradient is massive 55 (1: 18. What can I say that hasn't already been said. The scenery is gorgeous, Norway is Beautiful. Nature or the wind has though given the Tree (7: 12 right hand side) a bum wrap in where its decided to grow. The pointsman is indeed a rare sight. It seems too that Trains the World over have terrible Headlights. Thank you so much for sharing. Very enjoyable.

If you dont mind me asking, first off I found out that those signs with the Horizontal bars on it means that the driver must sound the trains horn, But if I saw correctly, there wasnt anything in the way of a crossing anywhere near where that sound horn sign was placed, so why are they required to sound the horn like that? Thanks

the crossing at berevkam. at approximately the 19. 30 mark. is there a similar video in the winter season? with heavy snow on the line. that would be fun to watch.
snow flying all over, how the track appears to be after a train has crossed it etc.
thank you in advance for your response.

I just realized that Berekvam is where the accident happened last year. Can you share anything about the cause of thr collision? I hope you were not involved: ) I have scrolled to the comments to make sure this hasnt been asked before but if it was, sorry for that.

We travelled from Fleishers at Voss all the way to Flam just last month. You are so fortunate to have such a beautiful office. Would love to live there full time. Keep making the videos, they are truly wonderful. Thank You.

I would like to know who built the tunnels? When and how long did it take, etc. Can I be directed to a source for that information? Thank you. I enjoy your videos. Great work.

around the same 6: 50 mark. is the track ballast painted white, or is it snow on the track? there is no snow anywhere else, hence the question. why is the ballast white?
reply

locomotive at both ends for? negotiating gradients or for reversing at end stations?
if for gradients, then must be really steep because there are only 4 coaches.

I love this video as it doesn't have snow or winter. The winter ones are beautiful, but in the summer it is nice to see some green grass and liquid water. Thanks.

I like how they still have people to throw the switch. Jobs! In the U. S. they do everything to get rid of jobs because of greedy upper level people.
