Take a driver's eye view along part of New Zealand's North Island Main Trunk. (NIMT) is the railway line between Wellington and Auckland. In this video clip we travel between Palmerston North and Taihape aboard the Northern Explorer, formerly the Overlander. If time permits the trip between Auckland and Wellington aboard The Northern Explorer with it's new panoramic carriages is a great way the see central North Island. The clip was taken using a GoPro camera, edited with Pinnacle Studio and finally published using Avid Studio

Hi Tim. Just wondering did you have what I presume is a GoPro fixed to the window, or on the side of the short hood?
All going well I'll have a GoPro soon. Like you I know a few drivers and some other people in the industry so I'm quite looking forward to seeing what I can get up to with one.

When are you coming back to NZ? I would love a Northern Explorer Cab Ride From Auckland To Wellington that is showcasing the complete journey at real speed! That would be amazing! thanks and nice videos!
