As someone who is a virtual shut-in due to a disability that limits my mobility, the only way I can travel these days is through videos like yours. Such a bittersweet mix of being able to see such unearthly beauty, but tempered with the reality that I will never get the chance to actually be there, to experience Switzerland with all five senses. For those who have the chance to travel, I do beg of you to not miss that chance -- the world is too big of a place to waste your life staring at the same four walls. Don't let the illusion of responsibility keep you from going -- there are always a million reasons not to do something.

And speaking of cows those lush green meadows that you see during the summer months are so lush and green because they have been sprayed with slurry, a heady mix of manure and urine that ages in tanks under most Swiss barns. Slurry fumes are toxic enough to kill both cattle and humans (for example, the Irish rugby star Nevin Spence in 2012, and a group of seven cows on a Swiss farm in 2013.

My Dad worked for indian Railways for 37 years and retired last year. He worked in the railways with so much passion, he always used to narrate how steam engine worked and working in ghat secessions. He gets so excited watching these videos. I wish to take him to Switzerland just to take him through these train rides.

Watching these heavenly sceneries which exist in Europe makes me think of all the people who are going as far as Asia and South America from Europe ie UK for example when all they have to do is fly afew hours max to end up in places as beautiful as Switzerland.

I take it the heat needed to generate the steam is from Diesel fuel; and not coal or coke. But what a stunning video; and so good in these days of unnecessary covid-19 'lockdown'. Thank you for having posted it in the year of BREXIT!

Tremendously beautiful country! I love how the windows on the train open up so you can get better views and shots. I hope I can make it some day.
