Living Off Grid in a Yurt - Building a Deck - Ep 46 Ricky: I'd like to make a suggestion to save you a TON of propane. The burner y'all are using is WAY too big and WAY too far away from the bottom of the pot! That size burner is intended for really huge pots that people use to boil crawfish or deep fry turkeys! I would look online for a place that sells something more like a residential stovetop burner. Trust me you will thank me when you discover how much propane this will save you! Also, if y'all use a 25-gallon propane tank you will get much greater use per gallon. As a 25-gallon tank gains more expansion space it has more cubic inches to turn the liquid propane into a gas vapor! In other words, you get better -miles per gallon- (so to speak) by using a bigger tank!

You guys think you're consuming less than others by -living off gird- yet EVERYTHING you have used for your home is in fact made in a manufacturing plant which burns fossil fuels. The camera, computer, solar panels, clothes you wear, shoes, yurt, interior items, etc. all made in a plant which burns fossil fuels.
It's cool to live the way you are and I support it. However, get off your high moral horse when preaching about -consuming as little resources as possible- because you're just another self righteous hypocrite.

Don't let the h8rs get you down, If Nicole is enjoying naturist lifestyle choices in your isolation more power to her, makes for less laundry and the clothes that you must wear for protection last longer with out the day to day use. Every little bit helps reduce your environmental impact, less soap, less water, fewer worn out clothes to the dump, if you want to show off the reduced tan lines great, don't be afraid to mention the benefits of those choices, otherwise it will just seam like a teaser.

Love your videos and your lifestyle. Wish I had it all to do over again.
You have two wells on the properties. Have you considered a well bucket on a rope for drinking water? We had two of these when I was a kid and used it many hundreds of times. Lehmans still makes them, a long 4 inch bucket to pull water from a well. Even if you don't use it daily, still a good item to have on hand for emergencies. Has your well water been tested? Probably not an issue at your location.

Love the videos - The video where you went out on the lake to the dock for your picnic should be the video you send to Marvel as Jake looks like a young Agent Carlson (exactly like him in that video) - after you become famous for becoming the new young agent Carlson you will be able to afford to fly me out for a visit! Cheers!
