Mosquito repellant: Boil up some pine needles about two cups worth strain and allow to cool then mix the solution with some olive oil or make a salve with some beebalm and apply it to the exposed areas. Then take some swaths of cloths and anoint them with the oil and then put them in pockets of shirts and pants,
Next, get some Bacillus Israelieness in spray form and it comes in little donut-shaped rings. Put the rings anywhere there is standing water and then the rest is a spray. It is completely organic. To get the best results to spray at night because the ultraviolet light breaks down the spray to an inert form in hours. To the point that it will not hurt fish or wildlife or birds just mosquitos. Also if you make a solution containing citrus oils like form boiled lemon and orange rinds and you spray it around the outside of the house and doorways it will repel all sorts of bugs

ok so i know you might be tired of building advice so can i call it just a little tip, when setting post in the ground, just dig the hole then a little gravel and set the post in fill half way with water and take your dry cement mix and just pour it in the hole no mixing what so ever its very easy and saves a ton of time and labor i used that method for many years and has always worked great. i just wanted to help you out a bit so take it as you see it but it really does work great and saves all the time of that mixing mess and shoveling in a hole. thanks for the great videos and never mind the bashers keep on going and making the videos as you see fit. be good and be fit.

I don-t know how you live exposed to all the elements. I guess I-m too attached to my creature comforts. Do you think you will live off the grid forever? I imagine as you get older, it will be harder and harder. I could probably do it for about a week, two tops. I-d be in a constant state of high anxiety worrying about coming face to face with a bear or cougar. It amazes me how you both romp through the forest without carrying some kind of defense should your paths cross with some kind of threatening animal. I-m so curious. How do you do it?

Ok yall got me hooked on this yurt thing, waiting on the next episode, wishing you guys all the luck because out there it's a little tricky, and sending love because I love what you guys are doing, and your doing it quite well, yall are a perfect team and it's amazing to see the way you to mesh together, can't wait to see how you all decide to finish that loft, does look like it needs a bit more stability going by what some others have said, hope yall find the best way to fix that. Peace.

Just waiting to see the local paper head lines -Death by Yurt- young couple die after there yurt collapses due to dodgy building practices. Or the other headline will be -Young man dies after being cut in half by chainsaw-. I get you have a huge amount of trolls and negative people commenting so all I-m going to say is do some better research on basic building practices and also have to start and use a chainsaw safely. Or just keep behaving like a fool,

As you were cleaning I remembered there is a scent that repells mosquitoes. The twigs you can use them to burn the incense to drive out the mosquitoes. I don't remember, I think it's eucalyptus, don't quote me on it. If you have a laptop you can search, if not I'll do the research and will let you know when I find out. Also, if you can get those electrical light sensor that repells all sorts of insects, you can put it around the perimeter of your abode.

Natural protection against mosquitoes, beetles, flies, and other annoying bloodsuckers!
To keep you safe from mosquitoes and other flying bloodsuckers, light a 100% dry cow dung or horse dung on some four or five sides around the house, about twenty meters away. The dung will smolder and spread that specific fragrance. And that's it, no intruders. No need for a safety net on his head

Just the sound of those skeeters make me itch. An old cajun told me to use 30% white vinegar and 70%
Water mix. It keeps mosquitoes, ticks, deer flies and redbugs off us in the swamps of Louisiana. And yes im allergic to mosquitoes bites and i swell up. We have Tigerstriped mosquitoes down here which whelps me by 3-. Yall check the mix out as it really works well.
