love-ly and i know you won't read this but at the end of you soul searching talk, jake, i can see you really experienced some deep heart-felt soul searing and wake up call to being a father for the first time - i have two kids a boy and my second a girl i named Eartha and it was their with their mother both times during the birthing too - it was only the two of us - i'm glad you had a better expe; rience this time - last time you had a hell of a time - anyway i hear/feel you - i remember the first time i became a father with my son and that was an adventure but with my daughter i felt i met my soul in her even before she could speak we spoke with our eyes but that's another story so - welcome to fatherhood - its not to say that you didn't learn and werent a good father with Fox but your daughters touched your soul - now Fox needs you even more because he is not the only one and the center of attention too - food for thought

WOW - your videos have always been challenging, encouraging, and inspiring but this one went a step further. Thank you for sharing your testimony and outlook on life and it's obvious that you value life and relationships which is wonderful! Our children are grown up and have families of their own and as an old guy I am blessed by their commitment to family (like you) and passing our legacy/values to grandchildren.
And congratulations on the birth of your twin girls! How exciting! (We have two daughters who are only 13 months apart and many people, 38 years ago, thought they were twins for several years) I'm looking forward to the adventures in the future.

raise your hand if you're a young person who chose not to have kids because they were told the world is overpopulated so we need less kids. I mean where does he get this stuff. Certainly there's plenty that decided they couldn't afford or didn't feel ready to add that complexity to their life yet. I'd love to see societal change on those issues.
and let's encourage young people to rank the health and well-being of the pregnant mom/baby above stridently sticking to their naturalist/anti-western medicine lifestyle. seems like we've made that mistake enough times to have learned a lesson

Congratulations I’m so happy for your family! I too had identical twin girls! I had mine a month early. I had to be put in the hospital at 7 months because I’m 5’2 and was dialated to a 6 at 6 months. They would only let me out of bed to shower and use the restroom. Twin A was born with a Dbl. cleft lip and a cleft palate. They are now 36 and have families of their own. I also had another girl, a year older, and I am truly blessed! Wishing your little family all happiness and good health!

When I saw Nicolle doing all the plant dying, herb preservation, food preservation and wild crafting in Canada, I used to think how cool to be a daughter to a woman like this so she could pass down all this experience and knowledge, and wow, still can't even process that you are parents to twin girls. We all birth ourselves many times over our lives in order to grow, and this somehow just feels so right and balanced and perfect for all your own and collective evolution as a family.

You are so right on about having a family! From a young age, family has been everything for me. We started our family in our mid 20's. We raised 3 great successful boys (Research Scientist, High School Teacher & Architect, who have all grown to be great Dad's themselves! Now in my 70's I enjoy the comfort of my grand family around me, and watching my grandchildren mature thru school & head off to college or careers they choose!

Hey Jake! Nicolle is a WOMAN - not a girl. Girls don't give birth to children - at least not ideally. Nicolle is a full blown WOMAN. WOMEN have power. Girls are still learning, growing and are sometimes not that strong yet. Just the same for boys. You don't say boys - you say guys, yes I mean really. call her a WOMAN - not a girl - PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE! Nicolle is a strong, powerful, intelligent, amazing WOMAN!

P. S. You are very articulate Jake 12 days into the twin adventure. Even within the stretches of video that you did not edit you do not say, um or lose your way in the emotion of telling the details of the life changing events that have taken place. Well done, well done. I look forward to the next video.

So happy for the both of you and lil Fox. He will be curious and want to be involved with everything because of his natural instinct to protect his baby sisters. I love the way you told your side of the birthing experience. Stay humble and amazing.
