Theres many more doctors and drug companies that are pill pushing drug dealers When I was 11 years old my doctor which myself my parents and even grandparents trusted and were patients of his at some time He put me on insanely addictive high dose opioids OxyContin 30s and 40s telling my parents there was nothing to worry about and because back then the dangers werent wide known we didnt have Mistrust of doctors or smart phones and home computers to research for ourselves and by age 13 I was fully addicted physically and mentally I then struggled with dangerous active addiction until I turned 21 Ive been blessed and flat out lucky enough to have an amazing family and support system and find an effective recovery program and just celebrated my 4 year recovery birthday this past November No kid should have done to me what they did The doctor was finally fired lost his medical licenses and sued by many families of his victims who overdosed on his pill pushing prescriptions Im glad Trump and other government officials are cracking down on these monsters

Okay, To begin this wonderful comment I just want to say that I am not a Trump enthusiast. Trump in many respects is a bumbling neanderthal. The left is sacrificing itself to condemn the man however and that pisses me off more. Personally, the United States being in Syria was a bad arrangement in the first place and Sun Tzu would be ashamed to know we were reading his book in west point. I am completely ignorant to the happenings and delicacies of the middle east so I apologize for my insensitivity to the situation. ISIS is a real problem, kicking in their front door may have been a reasonable solution to someone but neglecting our own seems foolish after we got it blown in. Syria isn't were we need our troops in my personal opinion, home seems like a pretty dangerous place right about now and if the military stayed here maybe we would have a little more peace and quiet but as I said, I'm pretty ignorant towards this kind of thing. All in all, I'm saying I don't know know a good solution but I don't feel pulling out of Syria was a bad idea.

America made itself the big brother figure of the world after WW2, in this time period nearly all European countries have fallen down to predominately depend on America to hold their hands and protect them, this weakens them and hurts Americans as we have to pay the bills for that, but far more importantly, the toll in American lives. Have a look through all the wars we've had since WW2 and look how many American soldiers have died. How many families have to pay to keep up this constant WE MUST BE THE ENFORCERS OF THE WORLD crap. America pays a huge portion of the defense budget for most of our allies, and yet look how few ever even get involved in half the wars we fight. In fact many outright oppose us on most of the things we try to do. This is not a role America should be jumping into anymore, we've done our term of service, let the EU roll up its sleeves and get in there and do something since it thinks its so wonderful.

There is a difference between addiction and physical dependence when taking medication. There are warnings on numerous medications not to stop taking it or you can have withdrawal symptoms. That is dependence. As a chronic pain patient that has not ever been high from my medication or abused it, without it I have no reason to continue living. There are no better options than opioids to control my pain and no cure for what is causing it. With adequate pain control I could have a life, without it I choose death. Why are millions of real people who have chronic pain that is controlled with this medication being forced by their doctors, insurance companies, FDA, CDC, the government to stop or reduce their dosage against their will and made to fell like criminals? The suicide rate of people with under or untreated pain is going to skyrocket, drug addiction will continue and those who profit from the misery won't skip a beat.

I remember when Obama first tried to get us involved in Syria and protesting that. I remember that week in Washington the phones were so busy you couldnt even get a hold of anyone because everyone was against going in. Now we have a president removing troops (which used to be a liberal position. Now there was a terrorist attack that they assume or have no reason not to believe and therefore we must risk our military's lives and trillions of dollars on war. The people over there have been killing each other for thousands of years and they will continue fighting for another thousand years, we are just wasting time and resources in that area. Russia tried doing this to gain power a decade before we started getting involved and they wrecked their economy. I don't think Trump is the best guy or even someone I would be voting for depending on the options this next go around, but this is the right move.

The way to reduce (because unfortunately can't eliminate) terrorism is through police action. Terrorists are, ultimately, criminals hiding within the population. Now, of course, if a country's security services are overwhelmed, and an insurgent terrorist group gains territory, then the military should be called in. Even foreign militaries, if the domestic one can't handle it. But once the territory under control of the terrorist organization has been eliminated, then the military is not equipped to deal with that kind of job. The military is very good at securing territory and maintaining order - but very bad at democracy and personal security. That's why we have a police force. The process to restore peace should go the reverse of the crisis escalation: foreign militaries should cede to domestic armed forces, who should cede to the police.

Our allies are upset we are leaving Syria but yet none them have boots on the ground or pouring money into the region. I have to say those are great allies to have thanks for the help and free criticisms yet while doing nothing. If liberal media wasnt portraying Russia as an evil country while cozying up to the murderous People Republic of China. Maybe Russia and US could share intelligence on ISIS and other territory cells and put an end to them more quickly. But nope we are allied with country that barely have a functional military do nothing and then criticize us on what we do or do not do. All while they sit on their ass have US taxes dollar defending them and using their taxes dollars on their people. Trump right we need to put America first cut foreign aid and redirect it to legal American citizens and take care of us.

As someone who is very unhappy with the Trump Administration as a whole, I completely support Trumps decision to pull out of Syria. Trump obviously lied about ISIS being defeated, but who gives a damn? He lies all the time, this is nothing new. I care more about actions than words, and this is an action that should've happened long ago from when Obama was in office. The troops need to come home and end this ridiculous warmongering cycle of death and destruction from the terrorist groups overseas. This country needs to help itself first and fix its own problems before it tries to help out others. It just sucks that it had to take someone like Trump to actually make this happen.

At the end of Koyannisqattsi they show an extensive, slowed down, shot of a US shuttle exploding shortly after takeoff and falling back to Earth. When I watched the movie with my husband he got angry and said the movie was sick for using the footage. I researched it and found out the shuttle was un-maned. It is a sensitive thing for me because I remember it hitting me like a pile of bricks just thinking oh God, he's right Did people die? and being relieved when I did research and found out no one was harmed. I think at the end of the day (for the vast majority of people) the clips can prove as a learning moment but their use should always be respected.
