It is the responsibility of any news outlet to report the news with as little bias as the possibly can. Covering a news story revolving around something as tragic as the shooting in Kenya, it is hard to not showcase the horror that is involved in a shooting. The best part about having the technology that we do is that we have so many places we can get news. If you have an issue with how a news outlet decides to report the news, theres plenty of other places to get your news. The NYT did a great job of reporting such a horrible attack. If you know theres gonna be graphic images associated with an article, then maybe avoid the article all together. Sometimes reporting the true nature of an incident of this caliber is hard to accurately reporting without capturing how horrible it really is.

I love Trump We are talking about illegal illegal guys Why do people spin it all and say they are immigrants and pays taxes. blah blah no, not you then u are a citizen then. We are talking about illegals and I support Trump Many Americans have had jobs taken from them. And how racist is it for the left to say who will pick our fruit or clean our homes? Really? Like you are now saying that this is all the immigrants can do? And to me that is racist to say You are essentially putting down Americans and illegal immigrants And legal immigrants Lol wow if the left would think. Look you just told Americans they are to lazy to do cleaning jobs or pick fruit, and u told immigrants that they are not smart enough or good enough to do anything else or capable of anything else Really.

16: 40 I believe that showing these images is so important. In school I remember that we covered a poem called war photographer which raises some good issues about this (its really good one of my favourite poems, but basically if they didn't have these photos then no one would put a face to the numbers you'd just read 21 dead, over a dozen injured that means nothing without face or names or images, because it creates a distance between the reader and the people involved. The images make it real. Real to the people reading so they can't easily brush it off. its not insensitive its showing people the harsh truth so that maybe they'll do something.

Despite all that, Trisha isn't WRONG. She just didn't share the same OPINION as others. Illegal Immigrants cost the US American taxpayer millions, if not billions of dollars each and every year. Some may pay taxes, but many do not. One out crying example of one guy saying Oh well I pay this amount doesn't back up anything that proves her wrong unless you go through every illegal migrants home and check their tax returns. Shame on anyone who threatened her for simply voicing their opinion, you as the harasser certainly don't seem to mind voicing yours.

I haven't taken notice as to whether there are other double-standards when it comes to reporting different issues apart from the common and rather constant attributes held by reporting this kind of news is coverage; like if terrorism were to happen in Europe or the Americas it would get more coverage than if it were to happen in Africa or Middle East, as if it is normal. And speaking as an African, it sucks to see that. What sucks more is that people, myself included, believe that this is somewhat normal.

I have said sorry before but I'll do it again because people might not be familiar with me = I have vaguely said sorry before, I will not do it again, and I'd rather back out of a great career opportunity than say sorry againI have never seen Trisha's videos and probably never will, but wish Kevin Hart had done that. On the other hand, Trisha seems not much better but in a different way; she's being rather vague and going round and round rather than simply apologising.

NYT got it right - no newspaper is willing to cross the line to show what actually happened anymore. Sure some people might find it offensive, but reality is that sympathy is a desirable emotion to show. When people see Terrorist attack in Kenya, most would just skip it because it's quite far away. By attaching a graphic image, they're ensuring more people see the story due to the shock value which is not only beneficial for them but for society as well. Non-American here.

The first vote happened in a major storm and voter turnout was super low. If I recall it was flooding in London and area and many couldn't bet out to vote because the unsafe conditions people were told to stay indoors and many places were closed and people weren't sure if the voter stations were open. It should of been re booked until the weather was better and the transit system was running again and everyone could get to a polling station.

I'm conflicted on that bit about the NYT. While I value respecting those who have died, even as an atheist, I also think their deaths are in vain if we don't do what we can to show the horrors of these atrocious attacks to those unaffected by them in hopes of working towards and building a better world. Overall, I lean towards showing the aftermath since it continues to hit me hard and never lets me become desensitized to these horrible crimes.
