The Wakanda Forever 21 Controversy & Backlash, Will Smith Genie, Kylie Jenner, & Justice Reform Lou Sunny: I think its important that we are starting to reform prisons. Specifically the discrepancy of crack and cocaine sentencing, along with early release for low risk prisoners. Although these laws are slight moves in the right direction. We have jails/prisons that bank on having people in jail, and communities that are employed by these privately owned prisons. Could you imagine the lobbyists and people that benefit from these jails that push for harsh sentencing for this purpose? Also, we make it difficult for inmates to return to society. Its hard enough getting ahead, but people typically arent born with dreams of becoming a criminal. We have to have more preventative programs that support children so that they have a safety net against breaking laws in the future. And we need to start enriching vulnerable communities and inspiring their imagination. That they can change their situation and when they try, good things can happen. Also, the fact that we criminalize addicts instead of seeking treatment for them is another factor, along with the obvious of incarceration of blacks. Our country is deeply punitive, racist, and corrupt. so thankful we are having bipartisanship on these sorts measures. Although, we need to do more because its not enough - time for the 2nd step

I was never raised to think about race. I grew up in a white suburb, but I was never raised to treat or think of people differently. However, this increased sensitivity towards race is the definition of an abusive situation. If people in the Untied States have to feel like they need to watch what they say and it feels like theyre walking on egg shells all the time, that is toxic and abusive. Using the internet to step up on a soap box and get offended over trivial things is annoying and youre creating more segregation and racists because of how you act. You devalue the meaning of racism and what it is, by calling everything racist and offensive. Other black people in other parts of the world are not victims. They dont get offended by every little thing that happens. It is only people of African-American decent that pretend and try to justify being victims of racism in a society that didnt have these problems 20 years ago. Racism still exists and is still a problem in some parts of the country, but justifying this forever 21 thing as racism, silences and delegitimizes instances of actual racism.

Trump might be brash, crude, and rude at times, but I notice he is fair and willing to listen. Notice how some people have changed his mind on things by talking to him and treating him with respect, which is something that seems to go a long way with Trump. Just work with him, that is the best thing you can do people. Looking at the comments, I thought more people would be talking about this prison reform bill that was just passed. The first step of many prison reform bills that will be passed. But apparently the wakanda shirt is more important than a prison reform bill that practically changes our prison system to be fairer and better than it once was.

I like how that Forbes list said we want this list to be people who got rich off their fame and then put Kylie Jenner in the same list as Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan the two greatest athletes in their respective fields who spent their entire life practicing day in and day out to become the best. Kylie was born pretty and into a wealthy family. not exactly the same Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan yes they have built wealth on their fame just like Kylie but HUGE difference in how they earned that fame. Just a thought, pretty pointless list in my opinion.

Will's improvisation skills are 10. the genie was a 10 in overall goofing &. Gee I just can't wait. Also let's not forget, the genie is from an alternate universe/time warp of some sort. Which makes the setting of Aladdin somewhat post apocalyptic? & This make no mistake, intensifies the sheer number of hilarious references Will Smith will be allowed to make during this improvising. He's the least of my concerns as far as entertainment goesI mean come on, we're gonna love it.

. its like if the marketing team for WS Hip Hop decided that I should be the spokesperson for the site. WHAT? Its more like if the marketing team for WS Hip Hop decided to sell thousands of pieces of clothing and featured Phil in ONE article of clothing whose target market was predominantly African-American. It's an absurd overreaction to an extremely poorly done marketing campaign. Y'all up in here searchin' for drama that spikes the cringe meter? Congrats, you've succeeded.

I both wish Forever 21 hadn't apologized and also used a black model. The fact that there is outrage over some of the most trivial things like who is wearing what sweater is absurd. However, Black Panther is a monumental movie for African Americans and that needs to be respected as well. Maybe just reshoot with a black model and call it good. The First Step Act sounds great so far. I hope that there is follow through and that it sets a precedent for state programs as well.

No one is saying the model cant be white But lets be real here. why does he look like he's straight out of Twilight? They could've picked any white guy but they got the palest one you can find ROFLMAO That was not a mistake There's no one that pale in that movie including Bucky and the CIA dude. Hell, theres no one that pale in all of Infinity War including the aliens THERE'S NO ONE THAT PALE IN THE ENTIRE MCU INCLUDING SILVER SURFER XD XD Forever 21 had it coming

My Hot Take on the situation is that since black panther was so significant to the black community, it shouldn't have had a white guy wearing it, because, in a way, he is representing that sweater, however, it doesn't mean white (and other) people can't buy or enjoy the sweater, he just shouldn't have been the one to represent it. Imagine if we flipped the dialouge, and said that only black folks could see black panther. It falls apart really quickly.

The Wakanda forever story, yes anyone can wear whatever they want but that's not what this is about. Its what it signifies, have you ever seen a black Santa Claus Ad on tv? To each their own, this was clearly misappropriating something the black community deems their own. Was it so hard to use a black model? The company put this out there knowing full well its controversial, and I agree with Phil they did it for the attention.
