I mean. I get why Harry and Louis are upset but there was a book on WattPad that is now being made into a movie based on the boys in One Direction. All they did in the movie was change the boys' names but the story is still the same. It is not based on the life of them but it is portraying the group as different people while using their image. The writer also got paid for her righting on WattPad because it was so well-reviewed. I read the story after seeing an ad for the movie on youtube. I had clicked on the site and it took me to the story on Wattpad where I saw that the story was really a fanfiction of sorts. While the story did not depict any of the boys in relationships with each other, it did depict a lot of troubling behavior coming from the characters. While I did enjoy the story, it was really hard to hear their names and not imagine them in the scenarios in the story.

The amount of hate in this country is despairing. Its always the same arguments, thats not what that flag represents it has nothing to do with slavery/oppression its a monumental part of our history. Yes, maybe once it really didnt represent the things it does now. The point is there are those who do use it to show their hatred for others. There are people who use it as a means of division and oppression. Unfortunately the few ruin it for the many. Isnt that what weve been taught since early childhood? The real question is, if you know that there are people abusing it and if you know that there are Americans out there who feel insulted by it, why would you want to condone it? Why attack those who are being targeted insteading of reprimanding the ones who are abusing this flag you love so much?

I just gotta add a comment about my governor's decision before moving onto the next story. I wish I knew more about the powers of an sitting Arizona governor, but, anyhow, I hope he would act as swiftly and with as much priority to empathize and fix the inhumane conditions and un-American qualities of where migrants are being held in AZ, legislatively speaking. A governor of Arizona should be passionate about correcting course with regards to the treatment of asylum seekers and immigrants along with being passionate about upholding the honor of patently American icons and symbols.

I think the difference between this and south park is that south park's audience knows it's depiction of famous people is meant to be parady. It's the nature of the show. In the case of Euphoria, the two individuals are actors on the show, and it can be easily assumed they were involved in the creative direction of their characters, making it seem as though they were aware and signed off on this decision. But they weren't. This seems like the creators of the show took advantage of the two actors and previous gossip surrounding them. I can see how they might not want to revisit that.

Fanfics never need permission. An animated fanfic? Still doesn't need permission. An animated fanfic shown on TV? I used to watch a show that starred only celebrities put into violent situations. This feels on the same level and that did not need permission. An animated fanfic that exists within another show that aired on TV? .That's a little meta but, probably more okay than the above example. Personally I like that they showed how important shipping is in modern fandoms. It's such a huge thing that no-one talks about other than to bash it. This was a harmless and cool move.

History is just that, our history. A path of stepping stones that lead us from our beginning to where we are now. To remove one stone out of that path is to ruin the whole path. I see both sides of the argument regarding the Nike shoes, but I honestly don't see them as a nod to slavery but a nod to unity. We don't have a spotless history, but look at where we are now. Just like other parts of our history, we need to take the good out of those stepping stones. Yes, we had slavery. Slavery that was abolished and that created another stone in our path.

Colin kneeled towards our modern flag, so if it was on the shoe instead would he still be against it? If you are talking about injustice in the past, then he wouldn't be celebrating independence day as well since it didn't apply to everyone. In fact blacks fought for the British to acquire freedom. I just find the whole thing a non-issue. Everyone in the past did some bad shit. Whites, blacks, Hispanics, middle eastern, Asian. We evolved, somewhat, and now there's diversity. It's up to you to if you want to celebrate history, but it must be remembered.

Democrats won't be happy until we have an open border or a illegal immigrant prison system that they can demonize. How about a strong border that keeps people out and gives us a chance to assimilate those that are here? At this point, go ahead and raise my taxes to keep people out Finally government spending on something that governments should be doing, like protecting our bordersThe Democrats are trying so hard to advocate for those that are not citizens over the wishes of those that are, why would a normal American ever support them again?

Naw y'all can close C. W, the older people who live near by and donate to them, hate us younger people for going there. -For a while younger people were going there to play Pokemon Go, this was typically at night cause high 80/90s in direct sun is a killer. And this pissed them off so much they pulled a bunch of donations. Plus it's located pretty close to the heart of town, and these tourist CANNOT drive. I'm just trying to get to work on time, but my 15 minute drive is suddenly 45, cause these people can't read a speed limit sign.
