Philip, my name is Samra. I am a former refugee. I want to take the opportunity to congratulate you on this amazing video. Well done It really moved me to tears because of how accurately it describes everything that refugees go through. It felt like the video was talking about my own life at times. I was born in Montenegro (Ex Yugoslavia. My family and I immigrated to Sweden in the early 90's because of the war that broke out in former Yugoslavia. I was 10 years old when we became refugees and 27 years later, I still think about many of the experiences and challenges that we faced. Even though I was 10 years old at the time, I felt like I became an adult as soon as we moved to Sweden. An adult that became responsible for the whole family. My story is very long, but to put into a sentence: being a refugee is life-changing in ways that most people can't imagine. Yet, years later you find yourself grateful for the opportunity that you were given. It almost feels like a second chance at life. Thank you from a deep place in my heart. I absolutely loved this video. Thank you for sharing it and keep up the good work.

thank you PHIL and your staff for shedding light on what has been going on in Syria. and thanks for the wonderfull organization MARY'S LISTas a syrian who lived in syria till 2015 i can say that the story that been told is not correct in general. and when it comes to the psycological details of each one of them the moves signals or other moves with the eyes they were lying in a lot of pionts, its so complicated to exlplain but i prefere to really pick up the the right people who came from a educated sociaty in the country to use the reasoning in his or her speach and to put real historical, logical reasons for everything that his talking about because in the end they are giving a wrong idea or image about a whole nation i really want to thank the oragnization about allthere efforts for the refugees, its quite defficult to built humaniterian none-profit organization from the scratch, it was an honor for me to take part of such a noble job with a lot of organizations like that in turkey, good to know that there are always people who can feel the others pain without seeing or touching it, this is the true humanity.

This hits hard as I am also displaced due to the civil war in Syria. I was fortunate enough for my mother to decide to flee to the UK and then get me a reunion visa to go as i was 15 at the time. Hardest thing to get through was my brother getting locked up cause he missed a checkpoint while driving and he was not treated very nicely in jail. I'm happy that some Syrians got to get out of Syria safely and be able to start new lives, appreciate the risk because we really do not want to be displaces or travel the world, before leaving to the UK i would have never thought that i myself would ever live there. So please don't hate on anyone just because of the fact that they're from another area or have a different culture, instead just try to learn and if they're an asshole in themselves then you just have to remember that each person represents their own self ONLY and nothing else.

As always your detailed reporting is putting traditional media to shame. Great work everyone involved with this I really don't care that we're taking in less refugees. A scary percentage of children in America go to school on an empty stomach and until widespread hunger, healthcare, and poverty are addressed for actual citizens we have no business inflating our egos by importing people from 3rd worth hitholes. When hit hits the fan in America we won't be able to just run away to Canada or re-settle in another corner of the world. We will be stuck with the mess our society has sown. No amount of woke points earned from a century of being the worlds doormat will be enough to somehow make people stop violently hating America.

Since I am not a Syrian refugee, and literally have no idea what their life is like, what their motives are, how their options work. I still can't help but wonder: Okay. Syria is a shithole. War-torn, terrorist-infused, corrupted government. Okay. So. uhh. why do you want to come to America exactly? Why not Canada? Mexico? Iceland? Something different? You are willing to travel to the other side of the planet for a better life. but you aren't even going to glance at your own backyard? Why not some of the many Asian countries that are also predominantly Muslim? Wouldn't those be a more comfortable fit for your cultures and values? Just seems weird that they all want to come to America so badly.

I had a buddy that was our interpreter in Iraq. He worked for the U. S. for several years but eventually went back home. Then ISIS showed up. They killed his father, kidnapped his brother, and generally made life very difficult for the Yazidis. He was stranded on Mt. Sinjar for months being seiged by ISIS fighters. That whole time working on getting an SIV (Special Immigration Visa. He eventually got his family smuggled to Ankara and after six years, was finally able to resettle in the U. S. Poor guy worked for us, saved American lives, and getting here took forever. But now his family is safe and he's doing great, in Lincoln, Nebraska of all places.

So glad you did this Vid. I learned a lot and I'm very proud to know there are great Americans that still help Human Beings that are in need. No one should be ignored and resigned to death. When all they did was live peacefully. What needs to happen is an education to us Americans What's the difference between People in Isreal, Egypt, and other Muslim speaking people. I might be naive but I like to think that the more you know the less racism and hate can grow. Also, a firm believer that people won't seek the info out. So it needs to be brought to them. Over and over. God blessed you Phil keep up the good work. You and your team.

Fact most refugees who claim to be from Syria are not this has been confirmed even by the EU and UN the very groups who caused and encouraged it and say ah well about it all. Europe is full of fake refugees most are took advantaged of weak leaders to get in and took away from the real refugees who needed help, ISIS is heavily in with these groups as well people at camps who ran away from them are now forced to live with them. EU and UN failed everyone the real refugees and the people of Europe. Also the NGOs who took advantage of it and even helped in people smuggling there are on going investigations into this still to this day.

WHOA STOP STOP STOP first of all we aren't responsible for other nations people, second of all it's not a travel ban, stop saying that, it's out right propaganda. Lastly, why do you act like thourghly screening people is a bad thing? They're coming from extremist central, you have to be careful with who you let in. It's not that they're all bad people, it's a bad place that also has a lot of bad people, that want to kill us. So yes we need to be very thorough on screening, it's basically a trojan horse scenario here. Only it looks like all the other horses, and there a lot of them.
