And a lot of what I heard were the words could be, might be, associated with, but nothing concrete. I remember the scare in the 1990s where some women out of fear were actually removing their own breast implants. I think you have to ask one question about a disease that is claimed to be caused by breast implants. What is the percentage of people who dont have breast implants who have this disease and what is the percentage of people who have breast implants who have this disease? If the percentage is the same, then most likely the disease is not caused by breast implants. I am not a fan of breast implants, though I do know a woman who had significantly different size breasts. They did a reduction on one breast and put an implant in the other. When she saw what she looked like, She cried with joy. She had previously felt deformed. This is a very small minority of breast implant cases. Before creating another panic, please check the percentages of the disease in non-breast implant women and in breast implant women. Make sure you have actual facts, not words like could be, maybe, associated,

I worked a temporary job as a medical assistant in a department that dealt with breast care, and plastic surgery. Besides just the basic women's health aspects of the job, I also worked with plastic surgeons. One of the services was breast augmentation. I had to learn to answer questions about breast implants and one of the questions often was Will I have to replace them later in life. I was told the answer is yes. The surgeons I worked with insisted I let them speak with the patients directly regarding this question, because as CMA I am not legally suppose to give advice on medical issues. I can say for sure as a regular person that if you ever think that a doctor or surgeon that is working with you is not taking care of you, get a second opinion; but as with any other surgery where you have something new put in your body, the reaction is different for everyone. Always do your own research, and talk to multiple doctors or surgeons that you have researched their credibility. Breast implants can be great for a lot of things, but always always do your research.

I've worked in strip clubs for a long time and have seen LOTS of implants and rarely seen girls have problems even more than 10 to 20 years later. I've seen some botched jobs from where girls have gone to cheaper doctors. It's a bit scary watching this, my thought on it if you have some good strip clubs in your area and are interested in getting them maybe go ask the strippers, they may want to be compensated for their time at work to talk to you but they'll likely know the best doctors in your area, might be worth looking into. I never personally got them because a good doctor does charge like 7000 and if you have to go get another surgery to get them removed or replaced it would be another 7000 out of pocket plus an entire month to 6 weeks of really not being able to do anything so you have to have all your bill money and a stay-in-home helper friend or family member so I never considered it to really be sustainable to me because the price is SO high. Just my thought at the moment.

I've read over the sources you provided (except the blurry imgur image, and the broken FDA link, and I don't see anything about breast implants expiring. The closest thing I read was in the ICIJ report, which quoted the FDA as saying that as many as one in five women have their implants removed within a decade due to complications. Now I'm not saying that isn't serious, it totally is But an expiration date, it is not. Have I overlooked something? Because I had a friend who watched this video tell me that breast implants expire every ten years, and that freaked me out, since my mom has had hers for over fifteen (with no symptoms I'm aware of. I hope someone will show me an actual source for this idea if I've overlooked it. But otherwise, I don't think hyperbole is necessary. We really need accuracy and restraint in all aspects of scientific reporting. When we overstate what we know, no one will believe the things that we can actually show with confidence.

Nicole Darudas is certainly passionate, but her claims seem to demands some more fact-checking, to say the least. That her impassioned interview was included in the piece made me worry about the quality of the reporting here. I guaranty you you can find people willing to make similar claims about vaccines and vaccine manufacturers. I was left wanting more information about clinical studies linking breast implants to medical conditions, but I know one has to be careful, as once upon a time there was Andrew Wakefield's now discredited study, published in the Lancet, liking MMR vaccines to autism. This is definitely an area where I don't know who to believe. The potential victims are sympathetic and definitely earnest in their beliefs, and the manufacturers decidedly have all the incentives to lie and cover up problems. But in that regard this is no different from the vaccine debate and there, it seems, the capitalist manufacturers are in the right.

One of the things that bothers me the most about implants is that we live in a society where this is something that is still happening. The fact that so many women look at themselves everyday and feel theyre not good enough the way they look and that they need these implants to look better or feel better about themselves. I dont blame them because its our society thats constantly telling them theyre not good enough, but I wish it wasnt the case. Ive known many women that have gotten breast implants because they thought they needed them to look good or better and I tried to convince them they were already perfect, no need to try to change them, but that push from society is too strong and my opinion doesnt really matter, its the opinion of the individual getting it done that matters and too often they dont have a positive opinion of their looks.

I don't mean to be insensitive, but why even get breast implants to begin with? Is it for cosmetic reasons? If so, just ban it. Breasts, no matter what size, are beautiful In an age of being body positive, no matter what, why are the numbers for women getting these implants so high? Idk, I may be ignorant on the subject, but it sounds like women just wanna feel better about their appearance and they're doing really dangerous and not very smart things to their bodies. Just enjoy your body the way it is. I understand the small portion, comparatively, of women that have to have them removed due to breast cancer or other diseases, but if it's dangerous, please just be happy you are alive and know that anyone will find you beautiful. especially a survivor of such a horrific disease. Much Love Everyone, I mean no disrespect.

First off, putting anything inside your body that isnt necessary is not a good idea. Second, while breast implants may be causing some of the symptoms these women gained there is also the possiblility that they were going to get some of these symptoms without them, I mean alot can happen to your body in general in 3+ years. The final talking point is that the idea of getting an uneccesary surgery to enhance something purley cosmetic is just mind boggling. I get wanting to feel good about yourself etc, but how about you work on your mindset about yourself. I would love to be taller and more muscular, but I'm not over here getting muscle implants, taking steroids, or separating my leg bones to have them regrow longer. Work on yourself as a person and it will bring you more confidence and reward in the long term.

I have seen anti-vax vids follow this format. No actual experts, no scientists, no unbiased doctors -just a clickbait title, randoms from the internet and a reporter I have never heard of before. Lawsuits prove nothing, there are tons of lawsuits against vaccines -using their existence as supporting evidence is misleading; at best. There is a monumental difference between something that is DEFECTIVE and one that is fundamentally harmful/flawed. Boeing 737 MAX planes were defective -them crashing doesn't suddenly make the concept of jet airliner travel unsafe. Also that Facebook lady was largely full of shit -she used misleading info and fallacies, and I believe many of those incidents that were unreported would have been from things like when an implant was ruptured during a car crash, etc.
