Is Youtube Guilty Of Double Standard, Roseanne vs The Conners Drop, Duck Boat Update, & More. Bookworm :): I am Honduran. And honestly, the only way the HN government could have prevented those people from leaving was shooting them down. I really wish the US would grant them asylum, because shit is dire here. People are desperate. Anyone who can leave, by whatever means, does. -The lack of safety is unreal. Gangs control entire towns and neighborhoods, recruiting children and young adults by force and threats. Drug cartels in turn control gangs and the violence from each leave colateral damage wherever they go. You can't walk anywhere with your gaurd down, ever. - Landing a job is a challenge. Most people are uneducated (they are lucky to make it to middle school or highschool and many of those who did, do not go to college) because working is more important, so their families can survive. Most of the jobs available to people are back-breaking and pay extremely poorly. In some cases, working an honest job is living hell. Like public transportation drivers who are ALL under threat of death from gangs. This is why you'll see buses, taxis and vans called rapiditos speeding across the city with no concern for their safety or that of others. If they don't, they die. Every single day they need to pay the gang bribe AND the rent for the owner of the vehicle AND pay for gas AND make a living. I don't know how they even afford to live. Jobs that pay salaries that allow people to live with dignity are limited. - Just this year, the price for everything has skyrocketed (electricity, gas, and food to name a few. - Corruption is deeply seated here. Upon taking office, President Juan Orlando Hernandez hand-picked those in the judicial and legislative branches. Those who opposed him very quickly changed their tunes, resigned, or were fired. Then, he illegally changed the constitution in order to run for an illegal second term. He won last year in a very contested, highly unusual election where: the votes took two weeks to count, he was losing throughout the first week, on the second week the counting system that was publically broadcast on tv went down and after it was fixed and came back up he immediately gained a enormous lead on his main opponent. He's already mentioned interest in a third term. - We are historically very peaceful or passive people. We don't take to the streets often. And when we do, it's disorganized and things very quickly get out of hand and it turns into a riot where the opportunistic few steal from private shops owned by honest people and destroy both private and public property while the rest of us want to be taken seriously. And the government takes advantage of that, painting all protestors to be violent thugs. There is no one to lead any type of change here. Politicians are in the drug cartels' pockets and they are very happy with the status quo. Outsiders from the political world are too scared to put themselves out there, and with good reason. Here, those who threaten the powers that be are quickly silenced. Like Berta Caceres. People are tired. Living here is like living in this endless cycle of poverty, corruption, violence and injustice. It's exhausting. People just want to go find work and send money back home for their families. I wish the US gov would let them.

Rosanne the actress messed up on a tweet, i don't feel she's racist honestly speaking, however she's too risky for ABC/Disney to continue to do business with so i understand why they let her go. Rosanne the character showed one sign of weakness, being addicted to pain pills, and that kills her. As someone who watched the original as they aired, was excited and watched the new season, i had to watch the direct spin off. However i was conflicted, i feel that a suicide ruins the legacy of the character. I'm sorry for anyone i may offend this is not my intent however i see any form of suicide other than during a physical accident to be a sign of weakness, that was not the character Rosanne that we were introduced to or understand. But like i said, I'm conflicted, when i think of legacy ruined due to overdose, i think of Prince, Micheal Jackson, and I'll throw in Mac Miller, those are legacy's that are ruined, put aside Jackson, Prince and Miller both had strong personalities Prince significantly more so he organized so many artists and acts and it seemed like a let down, so although the topic is relevant and necessary, I'm hurt, but hurt like i would be in real life so i say to the new cast to do what they feel necessary, it maybe there own shot to do so, and Rosanne would do the same thing, so they did good i think

I grew up watching Roseanne and it was one of my favorite shows in the 90's. The conners were a lot like my family, a family with real problems ( sometime delivered in a comedic way) just trying to make it. I mean my mom was Roseanne Conner come to life for me, the kicker is now my mom is more like today's real life Roseanne. Where as me and my younger siblings are like the kids same ages and all lol. My mom had to work hard to just get by raising me and my brother early on and I remember her being a loving (sometimes short tempered) person, but 20+ years later she has remarried to a man with financial means and that kindness has diminished, and political views have moved from moderate dem to very conservative rep. So what I'm saying is the Rosaenn show nailed it. it symbolised life for America families trying to get by and it returned and again became a mirror for middle to low income Americans, these social and political lines that we have to find ways to dance around because every thing is so heated now. While watching the first episode after the show came back I imeditly hated it. Every thing felt political, but it was only showing current America. Sorry for the novel, turns out I have some strong feelings about 90's sitcoms: P

Roseanne: I watched this show when I was younger and I absolutely loved it. I tuned in weekly when it returned & Ill continue to tune in as long as it stays on air. The original show was intended to show the every day life of a blue collar, lower class family in contrast to other family oriented television. It was a show I could watch and relate to. I think the show is capable of surviving without Roseanne Barr but only because of the once again relatable way they killed her character. As someone who grew up on the wrong side of the track if you will with a dad who worked construction and a mom who stretched every single penny, I can attest to the fact that drug and alcohol abuse is something that was rampant throughout my community. I was lucky that my parents never struggled with these issues but I went to elementary school with several kids who would candidly talk about the overdoses of their parents. It was a fact of life. So Im honestly really moved that the show chose to take the route with the story and once again they show the reality of so many average Americans.

Why does the President think these people are trying to leave Honduras? We send the money down to the very corrupt system that is forcing these people to leave. I dont see how the Trump administration expects the government to stop anything without it turning violent and making it worse off for the migrants. That whole story just makes me sick. I know we dont have the capacity to take in every who needs help from every torn country, any economy couldnt handle that, but turning them away just feels so wrong. And Mexico and Guatemala dont have the means to taken in so many either, nor could they be expected to, so these people will be without homes no matter what. They have already uprooted their lives, its very likely that returning will see them worse off. These stories just reaffirm how unfair the world is.

In my opinion the policy for immigration should be a streamlined process with a few stipulations. 1. A mandatory ankle bracelet untill either they go through the standard process to become a citizen, or they pay taxes at a elevated tax rate vs american citizens for 3-5 years (an extra 5% ontop of tax bracket standards with a set minimum of 4500/year in federal tax. Also english classes with certain bench marks that need to be met within reasonable timeframes (exceptions for elderly and mentally disabled people ofc. Most peoples problems are based around them not paying taxes. Bring them in easier, make them citizens easier, but charge them for a streamlining fee. They guy made 5 a day? Cool he can make 60 a day here after paying high taxes. Pay the dues for a few years, then you are in the club.

Phil, this thing with Roseanne disgusts me. I hope the show crashes and burns into a million pieces. I wouldn't want anyones careers destroyed over this, but the Connor family actors don't deserve success on that show. Not one of them stood up for her when this happened and they all left her in the dust claiming her a racist. It's a shame that nobody stood up for this American TV icon as she was clearly mentally ill and struggling with Ambien abuse. A drug that people don't seem to understand much about. Now you see her in interviews with Vice and JRE and she's chain smoking and hopeless in her spirits. I watched the show growing up, I didn't stay up to date with the reboot but watching her go through this has made me lose so much faith in society and social media it's such a shame: /

Growing up, Roseanne was a show that I would sit down & watch with my family every week. We loved the show The Connor family was relatable. They werent your typical TV show family. They had a couple of shitty season there towards the end, but we try to forget about that. But when the show returned earlier this year, it felt like a return to form, just set in modern time obviously. It was great & the Roseanne show was never afraid to talk about or bring up hot button topics. With Roseanne not being on the show anymore its not the same. Its not going to have that same vibe or feel like it did just a few months ago. If anything I believe the show will end up trying to push their political BS on its audience & ultimately itll get canceled.

Please, I would like the ask you to cover the story surrounding the Korean band TheEastLight. They're 6 boys between the ages of 15 and 18, and as it turns out they've been mentally and physically abused by their CEO and one of their Producers for the past 3 years. The truth has finally come out, the eldest member revealed some of what he went through at a press conference yesterday, the details are truly insane and cruel. The story is really not getting as much attention as it should, it needs to be broadcasted to world, as many people as possible, so that these two men will have to face the consequences of their actions. Please, I would normally never ask this, but these boys deserve justice.

2: 40, no Phil, this is not based on feeling, this is based on money bags only, you can use the same argument that the cast and crew worked very hard and it just wouldnt be fair to them argument for both situations and at the end of the day they release Logans movie and will not bring back Scare Pewdiepie, why? Ill tell you why, this movie can make them a TON of money, Scare Pewdiepie on the other hand wouldnt, so to save themselfs the controversy better not release it. They Temp. canceled Logans movie to save face and look fair and balanced but by not releasing Scare Pewdiepie they show how biased they are towards the creator that can bring in the money, not the creator that deserves it.
