14: 39 as a young person in the uk, im absolutely terrified for what could happen. the public didn't vote for this guy to become PM, and he was mayor of where i grew up for a while and didn't do jack all for my county. moreover, it's disgusting that i have to live with this worry of a no deal brexit, especially with reports of all possible food shortages etc. as someone of whom's mother has citizenship to portugal, i am disgusted with how some people are tackling this as a way of saying that we don't need any more immigrants. i grew up with a mixture of culture and i am so proud of that, but now i am ashamed to even mention my background to people. i am so glad that the petition has reached 1. 5 million signatures, but i am worried for my future. it seems to me that all the older, privileged people are making really, really important decisions about our (i use that lightly because i am ashamed of the uk right now) country, but won't live long enough or be in the class sector to see the actual repercussions of their actions. instead young people like myself and those in the lower class sectors are going to have to suffer due to the higher classes' choices. unfortunately, even with my dual citizenship to portugal, due to family reasons, i'll still be in the same boat as everyone else in the UK and it shames me to even have to write this all out. if you got this far, i hope you have a nice day, and i recommend you all read a play called peter gynt. no relation to this paragraph, but it's just a good play. see ya

The 4 day delay is because of a Queens speech, every new government has to have one BUT recently one has not been done, which means. This session of parliament is the longest since the civil war (1600's) so a delay of parliament is needed (and its only 4 days) also you forgot to mention after he delayed parliament his approval rate and party rates in the polls skyrocketed (opinion was 1st at 45% and party was at 35% look at Britelects for proof in the pudding) and also the polling suggested that more brits approved the 4 day shutdown. And at the same time Jeremy Corbyn's opinions polls dropped to third or forth (depending on polling company) during this time. Meaning that even though there was protests in major cities it hasn't affected Johnsons polling at all. And no matter how you put it, no confidence, legislative stuff to try and make him get an extension. It won't work. If he fails no confidence he can set the date of the election to beyond the Brexit deadline. If he has to go extend he can ignore it as its only advisory OR he can waste time by calling a summit then downvote the extension as all parties have to agree in the EU. And even if IF we have a general election Corbyn is doing so bad in the polls and Johnson is very popular outside London he will absolutely stomp him in a general election with a Brexit party/con pact which will happen. So the opposition hands are tied. There is nothing that can be done. No matter how much you can twist it.

I'm from the UK and i'm quite looking forward to Brexit as it will finally be an end to something that we voted on over 3 years ago. Even with a no deal brexit common sense won't go out the window with it, the thought of there being a shortage of food or such generally seems to be scare mongering as there's no way countries will simple cease to trade with us just because we're not in the EU, afterall money talks. There's of course alot more to it than that but there really is alot of propaganda, scare mongering and various other tactics going on from both sides that really gets annoying and boring to see. The fact of the matter is that for the last 50+ years the EU has been a thorn in the side of alot of counties in Europe such as the UK, Germany, France, Etc and its quite easy to see that other nordic countries that are in Europe but don't have to bow to the EU have been running healthily and even prospering without that interuption to the way they rule themselves. Oh an Hugh Grant saying My grandfather didnt fight 2 world wars for this is a load of crap, his grandfather definitely didnt fight 2 world wars for the UK to be kept on the leash of the archaic EU rule.

Hey I'm in England so I think I'll give a bit of insight. We are all absolutely terrified of what this means for our country. I am personally distraught by how our immigrants are being treated, people who have lived here for their entire lives being threatened with deportation is not something I ever thought I would see. As a Remain voter, I have seen many on the Leave side very excited for Boris pulling a move like that, purely to Get it over with, slinging keep calm and carry on outdated catchphrases from the war designed to keep us schtum and non-questioning of our governments decisions. We are mostly exhausted, on both sides, seeing our country dragged through the mud. On the recent events that have happened in parliament there have been glimmers of hope. Many are hoping for another referendum on not just leaving the EU, but on specific policies if we were to go. TL; DR Boris Johnson is a moron and hopefully his plans aren't going to work.

What people don't seem to understand about brexit is northern ireland. I live northern ireland and it is a very conflicted country, so much so that we have not had a Northern Irish parliament for two and half years. The politicians we have are too mixed up with their unionist nationalist feuds that they are not mature enough to deal with major issues such as health and education. The only way to get these issues resolved is through the secretary of state who is appointed by boris johnson and is useless. Another issue is the border. A no deal situation here would mean a hard border. The Irish border is a complicated matter. If you look on a map there are places in the north that are only connected by roads into the south. But the biggest issue is relations. This could damage the relationship we have with the Republic of Ireland and damage the good Friday agreement which brought an end to the troubles. I am just worried about my country.

There are two ways of blocking Boris and his tiny majority. Just 0. 15% of Tory MPs leave the Tories. A few MPs table a motion of no confidence. Both of these options suit the rhetoric of Many MPs BUT not the act. Therefore it seems likely that they would like to be able to say It wasn't my fault after a no deal Brexit they would actually support above having their offshore wealth ring-fenced from London.

About kobra Kai I bo premium for season 1 and am gonna buy it again one of these days to support season 2. I do prefer investing into the media I enjoy. Not to say I never have streamed anything on a unofficial way I watch game of thrones alone in my game room. The tv in there has always had problems loading my hbo in go, and I don't have a cable box there and there have been a few times of neflix hulu originals that I have had issues loading on the tvi app in those times I have it used my phone and Chromecast to watch these shows. But I only did this when I did pay for the content and if I went somewhere elseut in my house I wouldnt have needed to do this but I prefer to be in my man cave to watch these shows and my luck had ended up being a bit of a kick in the dick when it comes to everything working in my holy space.

I'm from the UK and had no idea before this event that suspension of parliament was even constitutionally possibly. Like many other people have said I don't care where you sit on the political spectrum because this clearly and shockingly undermines the democracy of the United Kingdom. it sets a bad precedent for the future as future leaders may see this as something that is acceptable to do in order to push for reforms that otherwise wouldn't get through parliament. It's irionc that many concider a second referendum, which in my opinion is much the same as a confirm button, anti democratic yet would say people are over reacting to a clear attempt to subvert our parliamentary democracy by someone who was even elected by the whole electorate.

As a British person I can confirm how much of an absolute shambles Brexit is and has been since the very start and how disgusted the majority of the people I know are with the whole of our government. Its utterly ridiculous that they are continuing with pushing through something that they have confirmed will have nothing but negative consequences for the entire UK. Its the whole well its what the people voted for, we must do it mentality that is going to destroy our economy and plunge our country into the worst recession it has ever seen. Common sense needs to be used, they need to step back and revoke article 50 and go back to the drawing board, plan what they are actually what to do and then put it to the people.
