Buzzfeed & Vice Go After Dave Chappelle, SAT Adversity Score, & ProJared Responds To Accusations Tiax Anderson: So let's focus on the important part here and not cancel Philip DeFranco. He knows what he has done and if he wants to be better about it next time, that's his thing. The rest is between him and Jared. Take the following with a bit of salt, but Jared pointed out there was a tumblr blog that 'got most things right'. Now obviously he'd point out a blog that support's his story, but that doesn't mean it's not what happened. In that Jared Holly Heidi Truth blog there are numerous screenshots of text messages (most from Heidi herself and from a 'friend of Jareds') showing that Heidi was possibly the abuser in the relationship. I'm also not ruling out that both were toxic to each other. But a bunch of the things that happened and were made public also make sense when Jared's the victim. But first a short look at the cheating accusations; seeing how long it can take for a divorce to complete it's entirely possible that Ross and Holly had long since filed for a divorce before anything 'over the line' happened. As for Jared's side; some people and said blog noted that he wasn't wearing his wedding ring since the time he (confirmed by Heidi) first said he wanted a divorce; October 2018. Now back to the other thing; several people had commented why didn't he leave and why did he apologize for something he hadn't done and that is exactly what a victim would do. Heck, even Heidi described similar thoughts and actions when she did her story of how she was the victim and Jared the abuser. You don't think entirely rational, the abuser (whichever one or both of them is) basically makes you think everything is your fault. That's how they maintain control. So if allegations come around, then this too must surely be their fault too. It's messed up.

The college system is already messed up. I saw so many students suffer because their parents would not sign for parent plus loans, but they could not receive aid if their parents for some reason do not support their career or took the You're an adult at 18, pay your own way route. The college system shouldn't be set up to analyze what your parents earn and base your aid off that. For example, if you parents were middle class, but they chose to not support you through college, you do not qualify for grants because their income is still included on your FAFSA unless they are dead, you are homeless, or you have filed some sort of separative claim (think abuse claim) in courts. So, if your parents have money but decide you shouldn't go to college or they don't like your college, you don't get aid options just because your parents have inaccessible money. I was an RA on a floor full of girls. Half of them did not graduate because they were late admits who were trying to forge their own path but couldn't get enough aid because our state school is almost 12k in tuition and 12k in additional expenses, so they didn't have 24k a year to go to school and no help, from the school or from family. The college system is VERY messed up. The fact that we look at parental income at all after the age of 18 is crazy and is part of the reason college got so expensive.

I'm confused why people are so mad at Phil? Am I missing something? He didn't really reach out to anyone from EITHER side. i would understand the backlash if phil interviewed projred's ex wife but not him bec that would be unfair. But he only reported what was made public? Idk if their team presenting only what was tweeted or publicly stated makes them non-neutral but I don't think there's anything to complain about? It was projared's prerogative to NOT release statements at that time. He could've reached out as well if he was really determined to put his truth out. Even so, at that time, during the coverage for all this, the situation was volatile and unstable so I understand why projared didnxt reach out and that's what's allowing me to excuse phil too. I wouldn't want to directly interject in a situation that I'm not involved and that might have been messy, legally. And it's not like he condemned the guy, he just stated that it made him uncomfortable and that's what they know and what was made public as of recording the past pds.

You (or your team) really should have reached out to Jared, Heidi, Holly, and everyone else involved in the situation, Phil. While I do understand, you probably didn't see it as a story/situation that really required that, I think it is going to reflect as a poor decision on your part, and to double down and completely disregard that in this video looks twice as toxic, considering your level of involvement when it comes to issues with YouTube. I do also understand, you tend to avoid Drama stories on YouTube, and stick to more important wide-spread ones, but given that this situation involves serious criminal accusations, as well as people being personally harassed and professionally destroyed on YouTube, it would have been a major ball in your court to show how important it is to reach out and get the full details, to understand all sides of the story, to scrutinize the details and comb through the facts before jumping to any conclusions, and destroy peoples lives/careers. A teachable moment against the mob mentality, and cancel culture.

rick ross, who worked in the government ( as a prison guard) made rap songs about drugging girls and raping them in his hotel room - nobody batted an eye, in fact many of them bumped to it at the club. but dave chappelle, a COMEDIAN made JOKES about everyday troubles, and he gets flack? LMAO WHAT? Music is an art form, comedy is an art form. if you scrutinise one, you have to scrutinize the other all the snowflakes that are hating, are ones that just dont like it. so what do they do? of course, they do the one thing the can do. cry about it. they cry about it until the world changes to THEIR standards. why do you think the funniest comedians are the ones that started in the 80's and 90's? because back then - nobody gave a shit on what was said, it was funny because it was a real life thing. personally, i laugh harder to jokes that i can relate to instead of fake scenerios that comedians make up to be funny. anyone who was offended by dave's special, good. i say, good. be offended so comedians like him can make more jokes about you.

I completely disagree that comedians are supposed to say things we won't or can't and that if they're not they're not doing their job (one of the very rare times I find myself in disagreement with Phil. Imo, their job is to make people laugh and that's it, plain and simple. _However, _ I do think comedians should be able to joke about anything they want and nothing should be off limits when it comes to comedy. Also, even though I might disagree with Buzzfeed or Vice, they're entitled to publish what they want, too. So long as they're not saying He shouldn't be able to joke about this which I think would be against freedom of speech, they have every right to not like Chappelle's (or anyone else's) stand-up specials and call him out on anything and for any reason they deem fit. All that being said, I really like Dave Chappelle so I look forward to watching his special and would have watched it regardless of any of these things.

You're not news if you don't cover both sides of the story, and you're certainly not the good guy when you start to censor mild remarks. You don't have to apologize, but recognizing the repercussions of your power of not only yourself but the platform you speak on. But hey, continue to not do so, some people find a comfort in that type of thing. But I thought that was something you didn't want to be. I know that's not what I signed on for; in fact, we used to laugh about how the older networks are dying out, how they're awful, how their practices of say showing the murder's face is a bad thing and they shouldn't do it because of those repercussions that can cause. But some how it's different in this circumstance? I'll hopefully see an update in the future recommended but this looks way too bad for me to continue support.

0: 53 I totally agree; its a comedians job to cross the line. I think Robin Williams (RIP) explained it best when he spoke about how comedy/comedians work during his interview with James Lipton on Inside the Actors Studio. He said that regular people see the line and stay way behind it. While comedians, on the other hand, will see it and purposely jump as far over it as possible. He acted this out by pointing at an imaginary proverbial line and saying A comedian sees the line and goes wee while gleefully jumping over the space he pointed at on the floor. His interview with James Lipton was one of his best interviews IMO. It certainly was the funniest on Inside the Actors Studio. It was so funny that it had me and the entire audience laughing the whole time.

Flying in the face of everything Heidi is saying, are her actions over the past 4 months. Jared announcing their divorce along with a plea to let them move on with her lives, was treated as a green light for Heidi to make good on her career-ruining threat, and immediately start inciting harassment against him, Holly, and all of their friends. Which has remained more or less constant since then. Then when he proves everything against him wrong while communicating that same plea for civility, she continued to try and incite the same harassment against them, basically blaming him for the recoil from the gun she tried to murder him with. The way I see it, of the two of them, hes not the manipulator

My question is: Why did Heidi even bother going public in the first place? Id level with her and suggest that, sure, I believe her. But on the flip side of all of this - she could have said absolutely nothing. The way I see it, she probably pissed ProJared off and I cant say Id blame him for trying to flip the script on her. Her trying to be innocent and feeling like she wasnt actively trying to sabotage his career goes beyond infidelity. I know it sucks being cheated on, but she did everything except for taking the high road and just moving on and dragged Holly into it. All three of them arent innocent in it. But Heidi playing like she was innocent is just as manipulative.
