LeBron James Ends NBA STRIKE! What's Happening in Kenosha, Huge CDC Testing Update, & Tik Tok News baja: The comments have been defending the shooter saying it was self defense but I m sorry, is it normal to carry a rifle with live rounds to a peaceful protests. To think we were upset that the federal police were shooting rubber bullets at protesters and breaking people arms. But it s ok for a 17 year old who s out of their state to bring a rifle to a protest - that s totally fine. Make that make sense.

One thing that's happening a lot right now that i don't like is that people are so fast and eager to assume they know who or what is to blame for whatever issue they're passionate about. Whenever there's rioting and looting it's easy to blame protesters as radicals or anarchists, when people advocate for social or systemic change it's easy to blame socialism or communism, when a black man is shot it's easy to blame cops and call it racism, when an employee or employees are poorly treated it's easy to blame capitalism etc, etc.
This isn't to say that these assumptions or accusations can't be correct. They certainly can. However if you've already made up your mind in advance, then any future data point is going to look like what you want it to look like. The cause and effect behind a lot of issues are usually very complex and revolve around various different people, organisations, rules, laws, guidelines. That create so many different incentives and pull people in so many different directions, usually contradictory ones, that untangling it all and getting to the root of it is extremely challenging.
Of course this doesn't mean that you can't have an opinion or make an educated guess about who or what you think the problem is. All i ask is to have some humility and not speak with unearned confidence. Whenever people say X exists isn't it obvious? or X doesn't exist isn't it obvious? i always feel like it only looks that way to them because they're looking at various instances through a particular lense, and through said lense it DOES look obvious, but to others who don't use said lense it's not necessarily the case, and if you don't see it that exact way people love to call you all sorts of names or assume you're an extremist or otherwise on the opposite end of the spectrum and or topic of discussion and take everything you say as a bad faith argument. When all you're doing is trying to expand the scope of the discussion to something less narrow than you're either with us or against us.
To summarize, the fact that there IS problems, i think is clear to most everyone. But who or what is at fault, and how to fix it, is not always as clear cut or as easy to figure out as identifying a/the problem. Yet the people who identify or speak out about a problem first, tend to get monopoly on discussions of said topics and are given credit or status as experts on the topic even if the only thing they're right about is the fact that they identified a problem. We have to be willing to go deeper than just surface level or symbolic level discussions and platitudes.

I think all sides are at fault.
That cop shouldn't have grabbed his shirt and shot him seven times in the back when you have several cops with guns drawn, that's excessive use of force and he's not much of a threat even with a knife because he has to rush at you first.
The guy with the knife is at fault for going in for his knife in the driver's seat he should have just stayed still and complied with law enforcement not disobey their orders.
The seventeen-year-old gunman shouldn't have been out past curfew even if he wants to protect his community like a vigilante militia he is not allowed to by law unless he owns the properties that he's protecting.
At the same time someone shot at him and then someone rushed him if I were in his shoes I would have shot the guy that rushed me too I also would have called the cops while getting away from the scene where I was shot at and if people started chasing me and two more individuals tried to attack me I also have shot them.
All sides did something wrong, all sides are to blame; period.

I feel that the shooting was a clear case of a perfect storm of idiots. Everyone involved is dumb. 17 year old with some weird hero complex. Idiot. People chasing armed person while yelling threats and throwing shit at him. Idiots. Guy with a pistol who didn't take a shot. Idiot. All of them are dummies.
My only issue with Phil's coverage is him not mentioned the threats towards the shooter that you can hear before each time someone gets shot. The reason that's important because that shows one of the 3 big parts to have a legal shooting which are; means, MOTIVE, and opportunity.
Thats a big part of the story honestly.

you have a country that is fully saying that it is fine to cause chaos and go onto the streets making everything dangerous. and then you complain not only that someone is armed and defending themselves but that the police who you are targeting and trying to defund, that they arent doing their job?
ive lost my faith that mankind in america can be considered the same as anyone else anywhere else. youre all lesser beings if you think that its fine to set your own country on fire and then complain that its on fire.

Honestly I would ve been interested if someone did research on a person during the Holocaust and told their story or even acted it out. Like I see what they re trying to get at, but there s a better way to do it. There are plenty of ways to spread awareness to a topic and make it entertaining without just slapping on a I m a dead Jew. Give me likes because I threw dirt in my face and put on a sepia filter. Like and follow for part 2

Why exactly are people protesting here? I can understand the George Floyd protests he wasn t resisting and they killed him but here they taserd him and he still thought it was a good idea to walk to his truck and reach for something? Ffs just don t resist arrest, let them take you to the station and then let your lawyer handle shit. If you truly didn t do anything wrong there s no reason to resist an arrest.

I think it's kind of interesting that Kenosha, a city run by a DEMOCRATIC mayor, in a state that's mostly republican state wasn't able to make sure body cameras were required for law enforcement, which would have expedited the justice Jacob Blake deserves, AND they weren't able to enforce their curfew properly. Really makes you wonder how so many trump supporters keep popping out of nowhere?

i really appreciate the time codes so i can easily skip all the tiktop/infuencer news. ( when i first started watching you nearly 10 years ago i liked this stuff because of the jokes, but looking at these internet trends being covered in a grown up manner just feels strange) love the deep dives and serious news though, maybe put some of those videos first from time to time.

kyle cant be charged with first degree murder because by the video evidence i have seen he didnt intend to kill anyone if he did i will assume for sure he would have killed more people instead of grabbing his phone and calling someone when he shot his first attacker in the parking lot if he intended to kill people he would have shot the people rendering aid to the attacker also
