If you only had x amount of spaces for students to be added to your school, which do you choose? On one hand you have a student that qualifies and may or may not be able to pay the full tuition. On the other hand you have someone who may not qualify, but will not only pay the full tuition, will also donate above and beyond to the school and athletic teams. Everyone knows that even after graduation, schools look to alumni for additional and ongoing fundraising. It is only logical to admit the student whose family has supported and will continue to support the institution in the future. It s not two sets of rules for rich and poor.

This is a glaring example of how screwed our justice system is. It has always been my understanding that if you take a life, a human life, for whatever reason be it self-defense or not. You're in the wrong. On top of that since when do we rely on a single witness to hand down a verdict especially one where so much depends on eye witness testimony. this one guy that lives in the building said they knocked, so there for the multiple account of next door neighbors saying there was no knock or call out are immediately invaild. I love this freaking country it's a nonstop drama of people just shooting themselves in the foot.

As an FYI to all since apparently many don't seem to understand based on your uneducated comments. A grand jury, much like a trial jury, is selected from a pool of registered voters. The attorney general then presents their evidence to the jury. The jury decides whether there is enough evidence to officially charge someone. Meaning a group of random citizens from the same area that Breonna was shot decided there was not enough evidence to assume the cops could be guilty of murder in any degree.

I've said it before, the police have nothing to do with protecting and serving the people, they are an occuppying military force. They are the reason your constitution gives you the right to own guns. They are the reason you should be exercising that right to form your own militias. Until you start doing this, you will continue to be murdered by them, because the courts of law (which have NOTHING to do with justice, will continue to find them blameless of your murders/executions.

My question is, the officer that entered the appartment, and was fired upon by the boyfriend, was he not wearing a police uniform?
All of this, they announced themselves, they didn't announce themselves back and forth. if he was wearing a uniform, then the boyfriend fired on a police officer. If he wasn't wearing a uniform, then he could be percieved as anyone attempting to unlawfully enter a residence; which would warrant being fired upon.

The same reason you are having problems with this back door into college is the same reason I am against affirmative action. It should be purely merit based. But it's not. And it hasn't been for a long time. Why is it OK for people to get in when they don't make the cut because of the color of their skin. And how is that different from their family making a donation? They will succeed or fail on their own. Let em.

I think one of the problems are the mystery people who make the decisions. There is a certain saftey for making a decision when the question get's posed to the organization instead of the individual. For example, it's one thing to say Why did UCLA do this! as apposed to Why did (specific person) make this decision? If you protect the identity of the person making the decision, you protect the decision itself.

150k is considered rich? I mean, it isn't poor but when i think rich I think millionaires, you know people who can afford to pay off colleges (buy a buildong) not someone who makes 150k. This is not rich. This is middle class. (Phil, are you not rich yourself) With that being said, students should be admitted based on academic merit and not how much money in their parents pockets. Ridiculous.

There was enough evidence to show guilt to give the family millions but not enough to convict them and put them behind bars? The narcotics unit SPECIFICALLY asked to not be required to wear body cams when they were implemented. There was accusations of criminal behavior against one of the officers involved. This is not justice and I wouldn't blame anyone for what might happen next.
