A BIKE TAXI service staffed and run by the disabled community is helping to change people-s lives in Chennai, India. -Maa Ullaa- - which translates as -enjoy your journey with the disabled- - was set up by owner Mohamed Gaddaffee. Starting in 2016, 37-year-old Mohamed was fully aware of the lack of opportunities for the disabled community and wanted to make a change. Mohamed, a disabled man himself after contracting polio at just 10 months old, now has 240 people registered and using his app. He told Truly: -With Maa Ulaa we are helping many disabled people. I-m glad I can help the community. Now I have become an owner, I can offer people jobs and this gives me immense satisfaction

To the editor, at 4: 57 the person was about to explain how his startup has empowered an differently-abled individual, before he could explain, the video jumped straight to another person. I believe its because of the language barrier, needs a little more editing. Can you please patch it. would love to hear what the person had to say.

My kids are his age. What should infuriate him even more then loosing his lecturer position, is the fact there is a vaccine that cost pennies that would have PREVENTED the polio that is such a big factor in his county. Sadly, there is a high probability the vaccine is manufactured in India. Shame.

Excellent video! One recommendation, whoever is narrating the video during the beginning and later in the video, it would be nice to include subtitles/closed captions during those parts.

This story is fantastic. What wonderful entrepreneurs they are starting a fantastic business helping the disabled even though they themselves are disabled - wonderful people - thank you.

And yet there are people claiming benefits saying they're 2 fat 2 work or other excuses to get taxpayers money! Good luck to all drivers and gentlemen who started it!

From what I learned living in the States women aren't able to do much in India. This video definitely proves that belief is WRONG! I'm so happy for these people

I was a little confused about him losing his job at the university. If people with masters and phds can-t teach a lecture then whose doing it?

Its really interesting how they get around without wheelchairs before riding and I wonder if this self reliance helps the rest of there body be more fit!

Congratulations to Mohamed.
I would recommend wearing gloves so they won't hurt themselves while moving with their hands at the streets.
