Their maturity seems pretty equivocal from this video. He speaks intelligently, and she is very astute in emotional intelligence for 21. Her demeanor particularly is very serene and uncomplicated for 21. It likely has a lot to do with spending her time with someone who is settled in his 40's rather than someone nearer her age and living like he did at that juncture. It is hard to change, truly change after the early life he actively chose. Hopefully they're both dedicated to staying 100% clean and sober to prevent his old habits from returning. We can only overcome what we're willing to work for and own up to. Purely physically speaking, they look more like 10 years apart, she looking more mature than her years in a positive way and he not letting age take advantage of his metabolism.

As someone who is a felon from childhood(no adult charges. I can kinda relate to Adam. However he's a lot older and messed up for a lot long time before he finally turned over a new leaf. I feel like Felicia's family is more upset about his crimnal history as opposed to his age. But the age difference is exacerbated by his past. If that makes any sense. I hope that they work out and that Felicia's family eventually comes around and supports her/them.

I really feel for this couple. I am and have been going through this for almost 11 years. Yes there is an age gap, I am 10 years older than my fiance. However that is not the reason for my family not being involved. We are both addicts in recovery, and have gone through many many us and downs but have never left each others sides. So now we just don't care, we are living our lives. - you don't know people until you truly know them.

I really like this series. I actually almost applied when I was in an -age gap- relationship recently. It must feel so offensive to have your parents not trust your judgment & refuse to come to your wedding, despite what their history is or how old u are. I get where the parents r coming from, but not their decision to push away their daughter.

This is horrible! Her parents should have attended every aspect of her getting married. They seem genuinely happy and they don't give me weird vibes at all. I would be happy for my daughter if she met someone that made her feel this way.
