A DETERMINED teenager has taken to ballet despite losing her leg in a horrific bus crash at the age of two. Pollyanna Hope, now 15, sustained critical injuries when struck by a bus back in 2007. The crash took her grandmother-s life and seriously injured her mother who were together with Pollyanna at the time of the accident. As a result, Pollyanna underwent 14 surgeries at that time and was required to have her right leg amputated below the knee. But the resilient teenager, from Hertfordshire, didn-t let that get in her way and has pursued her dreams of being a top ballet dancer. The family-s tragedy led Pollyanna-s mum, Sarah Hope, to fight for NHS funding for children's prosthetics. Sarah together with her sister have founded Elizabeth-s Legacy of Hope - a charity that helps some of the most vulnerable child amputees in the world. Check out Elizabeth-s Legacy of Hope here

I know it doesnt have anything to do with the video, but can somebody wish me a good night and Send a virtual hug? I feel incredibly lonely and don't know what to do about it
And about the video:
Polyanna is amazing and I'm glad that she found something she's passionate about, it made me smile a bit to see how happy she seems, thanks for the great video!

What a beautiful way to bring such greatness to the world after such a devastating tragedy! Pollyanna is the strong woman she is because of her mother and grandmother. I would love to see her do cirque de soli or with the Rockettes because she-s here to do big things in this world and that would be a hell of a barrier to see her break down

What a moving story. Pollyanna Hope is a great name and so apt for such an inspiring person! That the mother is able to go through the loss of her mother, life-changing injury to herself and her child in such tragic circumstances, and then campaign for others is deeply inspiring.

Your grandmother would be so proud! Awesome video. You are indefatigable, Pollyanna. Sarah - what a fantastic charity. You-ve been through so much personal trauma but brought joy and hope to so many children around the world. You are amazing! #ElizabethsLegacyOfHope

She's beautiful to watch and I commend her and her family for all there hard work and bettering the prosthetic community. They kept emphasising kids but I really hope that adult amputees also have the same opportunity to get blades.

All 3 of these ladies are just incredible. Mum, Pollyanna & Sapphire all seem to be the most kind, genuine, strong & beautiful people you could ever hope to come across. I love stories of kindness, strength & perseverance like this.

Let's take a moment to appreciate the mom.
-I thought that was very unfair indeed! So, I started a campaign and now all the little amputee children in the country can have running blades. -
Straight boss.

I really hope Pollyanna can become a professional dancer. It would be so inspiring to others and the world needs to see that differently abled is not disabled.

Pollyanna suits her.
I-m so sorry that you both had to go through such a terrible thing, but I-m also glad that both continued to chase your dreams!

Persistance will eventually pay off, all you need to have is strong mindset and work ethic, that's all the successful hack of life.

Loved that this family used this experience for good- it helped so many others in the same situation as her. So beautiful!

The examinator that gave her a low score is cruel because how the hell can she point her foot if she doesn't have a foot
reply

Woah, I did not know that young amputees needed bone trimming until they-re done growing. That sounds so painful. -

I'm so proud of her for following what she wants to do instead of giving up she is such a inspiration----
