I can be a dancer and plus size - shake my beauty

Shake My Beauty showcases extraordinary women who are ahead of the curve - redefining what beauty means Jam: I love how she said that our physical appearance should not have an impact on how we perceive ourselves like being thin is to beautiful and fat as otherwise, somewhat related to being tall is better than short which is not true. Society has long been dictating each and everyone to behave based on how it perceives us. Fat as sluggish and lazy etc. I agree that in this modern era, everyone should be given the chance to be themselves and be happy the way they wanted it as long as its within the moral virtue of respecting oneself and others.

I-m shocked by the amount of hate I see on a video of ACTIVE plus-size women. I bet most of the people in this comment section can-t do what they-re doing. We don-t know why these women remain at the size they are and frankly ITS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. Clearly they all are healthy enough to dance which is accentually exercise so I don-t see what the problem is.

I was a plus size woman. Although she-s active, the amount of weight on her joints and the impact it-s eventually going to make is not good. I-m so sick of people trying to say plus size is healthy. Its not. Since losing over 80lbs, my joints feel better, I no longer have hypertension and my heart health is better.

Of course she can do what she wants, good for her, she's getting exercise. However speaking purely from an aesthetic viewpoint, it doesn't look graceful nor does it give me the feeling I feel when I see a professional ballerina or toned female dancer, showing strength, beauty and elegance.
reply

Well thank you for being plus size women who dance. All I do is dance in my soul and since I have become plus size due to injuries I thought I couldn-t dance anymore. You are definitely giving people help and showing them that anything is possible

If it was an anorexic Woman doing this everybody will say that is unhealthy.
An obese woman does it so it is cool?
It is just the other face of an eating disorder.
Let-s be honest

Removing your clothing does not equal true confidence. Showing skin does not represent true freedom. No matter the size. Love the Lord and be a good helpful person
reply

So if we had a bunch of anorexic dancers proud of their thinness we'd be okay with that too and think it's empowering? This is the same type of thing.
reply

So, what happens if one of them lost weight from the dancing? Do they get kicked out? Do they have a meal regimen to maintain their weight?
reply

These women can move! The endorphins released by dancing and laughing are so good for their mental and physical health. They're really good.
reply

But in the end after a few years all this dancing will slim them down unless they are eating to stay at the same weight.
reply

I love all there confidence I wish I had half there confidence when you think about they are working out by dancing
reply

reply

who said plus size cant be dancers? the real question is can they be better than a dancer in good shape?
reply

I am not as fat as they are, and I cannot dance for 5 minutes without run out of breath. They are amazing!
