Kawaii goth gets 50s makeover - transformed

24-YEAR-OLD Renzyll from Brisbane, Australia, describes her style as a fusion of spooky goth and cute Kawaii. She started exploring alternative clothing as early as 13 years old, a taste influenced by her mother who was a punk music fan. Renzyll's unique style emerged when she became a keen cosplayer and was immediately drawn to the Japanese fashion. Red contact lenses, dolly eye makeup and platform boots are all essential parts of Renzyll's everyday look. But Renzyll admits that she often 'feels like a girl rather than a real woman' in her alternative style. Today, Renzyll is going to be transformed into an ultra-feminine 50s rockabilly look with the help of a vintage makeup artist and her close friend and real-life pinup, Zara. Will the new look inspire Renzyll to consider switching up her style?

This is the cutest before and after I've ever seen! I like that they actually put together a look for her instead of just the usual bland look they go to on these shows. Seeing her enjoy the rockabilly look and pose all different ways and have fun with it is nice.

I was a wedding photographer and her partner looked how most grooms look when they see their bride coming down the isle - VERY sweet. Also freaking rocking that look, but also wear whatever you like if you love it you'll look good no matter what!

For 40 years punk/gorh girls going rockabilly, it's a great move. I was one in the early 80s. At least they dont have to grow out their fringe anymore. Congrats on seeing yourself as more than your look. Best of luck for your future.

this is awesome! one of the few ones where the transformed is just as good (maybe better depending on your tastes) as the original! thats probably because i prefer alternative fashion anyway so this was awesome!

I think she should adapt this look and put into rotation- she looked beautiful and confident. It doesn-t make her change who she is or what she likes on the inside, it just gives her another option!

She is such a lovely girl! She's adorable in either style and it was so nice to see how happy she was with it. I think she can rock both styles. Her family was so sweet and wonderful!

You know what's really sad. when you comment on a video and the only person that comments back to you is a p o r n bot and it won't let you respond to them! It's weird!

Absolutely adorable and beautiful! I adore this after! She's cute as a button before but the after really shows off how pretty she is. She seems happy with it! -

I'm not personally into the rockabilly look at all, but she really pulled it off well! She is so cute in either style. Her boyfriend's hair is -hella- long!

This one felt more real. Instead of, let's slap this person into something they'll hate for the camera. Need more videos in THIS style please and thank you -

She is the first girl in this program that likes the way she sees in the change. she is really beautiful and she is open mind about it. Congratulations!

This is what is called cultural appropriation. She is an Emo trying to look more edgy by stealing from other culture's. She is neither Japanese or a Goth
reply

This is not against the girl, but Kawaii is NOT goth. It's something else entirely. No one's calling punks and basic b the same thing. This is a fad.

Im so glad this is a fairly new episode because i just got into this style but haven-t seen anyone really talk about it since 2019 lol

Why do these transforms never go the other way? I would love to see conventional people transform to punk rock or goth, just for fun. Why not?

I think you look so so cute in both styles! I do agree that the hem line is too long because you are a bit shorter. But so PRETTY none the less!

Seeing her wearing horns she can pass as Ilulu from Miss Kobayashi Dragon Maid character. She is cute and pretty on either look.

wow! - what is that brand with the adorable bunny hoodie? looks kinda like an old punk rave piece, would love to check them out!

I love that the makeover was done by a friend and someone who participates in the other style. This was genuinely fun to watch

-Every Goth human should have a 50s Pin Up Girl -I have two friends who are 50s Pin Up Girls so blessed to have them.

Ps. I think you are a really pretty young lady and you could look good in whatever style you decide to try.

She looks lovely to that dress I guess goth can be whatever they want like a normal person in a colour
