SHEFFY and Macky initially met online, speaking for years until they finally met in person. When they did, they had a whirlwind wedding, mainly so Canadian Sheffy could live in the US with Macky. Speaking to Truly, Sheffy explained: We knew we wanted to get married anyway so we thought why not do it sooner rather than later? But both of their families have expressed concerns about the relationship, particularly as they come from different cultural backgrounds - Macky is from a Christian family in the Southern US and Sheffy's parents are Muslims from Bangladesh. Macky explained: My family, they're concerned about the cultural differences between the two different religions. It even led to Macky's mum carrying out a background check on Sheffy. In this episode of Love Don't Judge, the pair will meet with Macky's cousin, Austin, to hear his thoughts on the relationship. Reflecting on their journey, Sheffy said: All the things that we face, I feel like other intercultural relationships face

That cousin is cringe and disrespectful.
I m a white Aussie, and curried egg, and curried egg sandwiches and curried egg, mayo and lettuce buns are sold in bakeries, served at parties and work events. It s delicious, and to reject it for being strange is so ridiculous.
As far as the green card, this family should realise most of the world don t like America, rude, loud and aggressive people with terrible healthcare, woeful education, oppressive police, high gun violence, insane government. (Stereotypes I know)
Q that family has an inflated ego about what their country has too offer.
Their motivation is simply xenophobic.

Respectfully, as an American, hearing another American fear that a CANADIAN is marrying only for a green card is super cringey. Sadly, it sounds like a case of someone who's just a bit ignorant when it comes to global affairs
Also, the That looks terrible from the guy (brother? cousin? Don't recall) was so rude. Just say No, thank you and keep it moving. I'm not saying he had to like it, but it takes nothing to have manners in a situation like that smh.

I m a US Army veteran who has been fortunate enough to visit 18 different countries and I have to say that most Americans are completely ignorant when it comes to the rest of the world. As if they believe everywhere else is a third world country. My father is African-American and he met my mother when he was a soldier stationed in Germany. When they got married she came to the US to build a life with the person she loves, not to get a green card

Yikes my parents don t want any of your culture in our kids and I don t either.
You, my friend, are an experiment and puppet to her. So little of you will be allowed in this relationship. It will entirely be about her. You will have no voice.

I'm not a bleeding heart but screw that guy's cousin and his family. Somebody offers you food at least be polite whether you want it or not. Also, eggs with onions? Oh, sooo weird. What is this foreign witchcraft?

They are good looking couple and I see why there were concerns in their families but they should accept that they love each other regardless of religion and beliefs. Hope their love stays strong for a long time

The cousin is nasty. he was covertly bashing her. Listen to what he said when she offered him a meal, and what he said when she asked how he feels about her now (the way he was beating around the bush)

I get it they re concerned about who the partner truly is behind closed doors but they re grown adults I m sure they re smart enough to find out their partners true colors good or bad

When it comes to that I truly believe they should have told him or asked him. Is it okay doing that? Just really is a little inappropriate in my eyes

I don't see any problem with this relationship. There's nothing wrong with inter-religious marriage, as long as it's based on true love!

Fk it! If there happy together, enjoy it, and live it up to its fullest. We all have a short time on this earth! They seem great together.

5: 09 I can t believe he s southern. To tell a woman her cooking looks terrible? He needs to have his manners checked.
