Bonobos are incredible and we as the supposed species could learn a great deal. In fact we could learn a greatl from all of nature and maybe then we will only kill to eat and not for fun and even learn to live together as a species rather than as race. By that I mean everyone nothing to do with colour or creed.

When lineage and power come through the female, the whole idea of monogamy falls apart since it's predicated on ensuring a particular male descendance. If that doesn't matter, then there's no reason to be exclusive, and a lot of trouble is averted at the start. Very sensible.
