Although the Song Dynasty was economically and technically developed, the military power of the Song Dynasty was weak, because the military system existed to prevent the military from rebelling against the central government. Therefore, the Song Dynasty was the weakest dynasty in Chinese history, so that its land area was also small. Even if the military strength is weak, it still resists the Mongolians for 44 years. On the contrary, other countries are instantly conquered by the Mongols.

Scientific revolutions aren't necessary, because China could just import the benefits of the revolution from countries that had already experienced.
Although they did have a hiccup period, known as The Great Leap forward that killed millions. It's not technically necessary to advance to the modern era, but the chinese system itself couldn't have fostered the industrial revolution - that required western capitalism; because without it, the chinese wouldn't be modern.

When we talk about dynasties, are we supposed to say them like Americans? Would their correct pronunciation be with Mandarin Pin Yin or has it be adopted to just sound American because that changes the pronunciation. Sorry as a person who speaks Chinese, I found this to bother me.

So I've tried everything I can to watch this video. Different browsers, different devices, VPN going through different countries, and I even tried to download it. Tried even to see if it was uploaded elsewhere, and I can't see anything. Why can't I watch this video?
