The winter ants abdomen lets out a sweet but fatal nectar to any enemies kinda like a bribe based on your Inca tree video its the smell of the ant that makes three follow the winter ant and if too close well lets just say its the poison ivy effect and your done for instead of becoming her next loyal brainless minion

I know wath is that misterius substance, it's FORMIC ACID, that acid is liquid, but sometimes it's invicible to human eyes, why it is call formic acid? well all species of ants belong to family of insects called FORMICIDAE. Formicidae = formic, and this special type of formic acid is very deadly.

Hi from Argentina! Here we call that kind of ant Fire ants. As may already know, they are really agresive and many children, at least in the south, are bitten by this little creatures when they play outside.
Great videos! I'm amazed with everything! Keep up the great job!

Duh. It's an unfair match at 1: 07. You put like 40 something arg ants and only a single harvester ant. WTH. Duh they would win. Unless that's what is how it works. Where a single harvester ant is equal to some 40 arg ants when they get laid from their queen or something.

These Little Creatures Are Both Cute And Menacing. Just Menacing Enough To Be Useful Guards. If I Make Winter Larvae Think They Are Sugar Ants, I Can Use Them As Guard Dogs For The Banded Sugar Kingdom(My Sugar Ant Colony!

100 queens inside? lol they have formed a Federation named '' The United Kingdoms of Ants' or ' The Winter Ant Coalition. im amazed how this tiny things have a organized society, a selective job system, a hierarchy.

Now that I know what I'm up against, it's no wonder that the nest that moved into my house walls emptied 4 borax baits and kept going. I even eliminated 5 queens that I caught foraging at the bait.

Where i live i saved a colony of green ants then i released them i put a tracker because they kept knocking of the argentine ants using their acid

Argentine ants have taken over San Antonio Texas. Fire Ants are a thing of the past and the only thing that stops these things is cold weather.
reply

so can you extract the secretion from their butts and use it to effectively wipe an argentine ant colony? asking for a friend
reply

So basically if we massed produced that little white spec then we could get the best ant killer in the world (theoretically of course)
reply

There is an Argentine ant colony divide in San Diego County, California, in which there is a constant war between two super colonies.
reply

Let's just all recognise that they took a harvester ant with more than ten Argentine ants then filmed them killing the harvester ant
reply

so, your saying Argentina is home to a genocidal maniac set on world domination? welp its not the first time.
reply

THAT'S IT! I'm going over there and I'm going to punch those Winter Ants to death! Argentine Ant Gang!
reply

I never knew ants can be that invasive. Oh and does that white drop at the back of the winter ant act like acid?
reply

So the local Argentine Ants fight each other but not Argentine Ants from other countries. that is quite amazing
reply
