Been bit by many, many spiders and decided that it's nothing to write home about. Got stung by one Bark scorpion(one of the less venomous species, and decided that all scorpions must die.
I don't hate them, and I don't fear them. I just don't like that they can creep up on me, mistake my still foot for a warm rock, and cuddle up under my pinky toe. Then when I make the slightest movement, they are unable to tell that I am a monsterously sized animal, so they sting instinctually. Naturally, that stinger deposits venom that I can feel almost to my groin, FROM MY PINKY TOE.
I really don't like it when small little creatures are gifted a one-shot potion-of-power.

I wasn't even old enough to walk home from school alone when I held my first scorpion, a black emperor. It must have been intense because I still remember that moment.
Scorpions, tarantulas and other Bugs, like the kinds available in pet shops, are a great way to introduce kids to science while also helping them overcome fears, deal with common misconceptions, and learn responsible pet care.

Anyone consider that the reason scorpions are fluorescent is because their eyes see that spectrum which allows them to more easily see other scorpions. Just a hypothesis. Im no arachnid expert

They glow in ultralight ( reflect, reduce frequency hence reduce energy absorption ) as they likely develop that long before ultralight was blocked in larger portion as it is today?
