I dont understand how these wasps will benefit us so:
+wasps will reduce fly levels
-we'll still need to use the same pesticides to control the remaining population
-they're not going to change the amount of pesticides since they worried about attack surface not attack resilience
-new parasitic wasp enters food web
like its cool to see these natural predators being used but i feel like there is some critical piece of information missing here or it just doesn't make sense to use this method imo: /

I hate fruit flies, but this is a noble purpose for them. As delicious as our fruits are, they are a luxury. Whereas the spotted fruit fly literally needs them to continue their life cycle.
Anyway, very cool video.

I hate fruit flies so much! One of the reasons I loved living in a 1BR apartment instead of my first studio apartment, because fruit flies don't get to go to my work/sleep space!
