we'll be looking at how RTU's work to learn HVAC engineering. We'll be starting with the basics and looking at different 3D models to cover the internal components such as dampers, fans, filters, cooling coils etc. We'll also look at typical setups to help you build your base knowledge

When you mentioned the grid to stop animals and debris from entering it reminded me of one of our units at work that failed in a really weird way. They never figured out the cause so not sure if it has to do with something that got in but basically the main blower shaft was bent and it started to oscillate. The bend got worse and worse and it was basically shaking the whole building! We could hear various tick tick tick vibrations in the ceiling in random parts of the office, just from the false ceiling and light fixtures etc, and thought it was odd but did not think much of it. This got worse until one of us realized there was a really intense pulsating feeling on the 2nd floor. It was almost like a powerful subwoofer feeling and it felt different depending where you stand. The unit was in that room on the roof cooling that room. Supposedly the vibrations could be felt even outside the building at one point. The shaft that was bent was several inches in diameter, they still have no idea what happened, but it's fixed now. As a side note, getting parts from Carrier is like pulling teeth. They sent the wrong parts at least 3 times.

How u can be sure that exhaust air is going to different direction but not to fresh air blower and distribute the very bad smell into the flats. I am suffering with this issue, specially in Summer in Dubai. Do u know how long lasts Summer in Dubai? Exhaust air and fresh air cant be in the same side and over each other, weird construction. Look at the grid which stops the front air and collect the air from exhaust air.
Thank u for this video, it helped me to understand where that bad smell is coming from

I've seen some units that have an inside unit, which will have a full cooling cycle with compressor, and then will have an outside unit which will also have another compressor and cooling cycle, and there is glycol lines going between them. Essentially the glycol is used to cool the condenser and compressor in the indoor unit. What is the advantage of this vs just having a split system? Is it because a refrigeration loop has a limited working distance and the glycol lines can go further?

As far as background music goes, this video is the best. Because it actually accomplishes something, namely a lively air in terms of selection and volume that helps the viewer focus on the speaker. Woe to those viewers who have been subjected to videos featuring video makers' favorite music. Because, well, they have have bad taste in music. And, as all who have such taste, they like it loud.

Sir can you make a video about economizer? Im struggling to see how economizer can be installed to an RTU so it can provide free cooling. Isnt traditional RTU can also allow 100 percent of cool outside air to pass in order to achieve free cooling? Thank you sir any answer will be appriciated

A packed unit is a unit that contains all of the system components in one unit. In a home the evaporator is inside while the condenser is outside. In a packed unit all of the components are inside of one unit, like in a RTU.

Can you please make a video on equal friction and/or static regain calculations, including transition pieces and a wye (y) junction in the example. Im taking a ventilation systems class now and this video would help soo much

Can you do a video about high, medium and low pressure systems and their different applications?
Clean air systems would be a great topic also medical, lab and food filtration!
Grease duct and hoods as well

I'm a commercial hvac tech and your videos are amazing keep up the good job! I know guys that are in our apprenticeship class use your videos a lot! Nobody makes commercial hvac videos like this.

Thank you for the great video, sir. When I saw a belt drive blower watching your video, one question came in my mind. Where do we use a belt drive blower; where do we use direct drive blower?

Package ac unit is a combined unit, it is the bigger version of Window type ac. Only the difference is. It is connected to a duct work. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

If the exhaust placed directly under the intake (which is facing down because of the air hood, wouldn't some of the exhaust air get sucked into the intake?

Helo sir. I hope you will be good and fine. Make a video about pipes welding because the welding is also play important role in chiller water pipes.

Can a RTU installed in a sloped roof (1: 100? How efficient would that be? It seems to me that it will be impact the flow air and liquid in the unit.

I love assembling air handling units especially the rooftop units for Nortek Air Solutions I do my best to make sure that no water can leak through

Thank you it is clear and easy to understand, but made me remember our ahu that is not cold when we on it, can thermostat on actuator be reset

As someone who is looking to get into hvac and needing training and nate certification how would yall recommend going about doing this.

Hey bro, could you make a video for explaining the electric wiring connection in a typical chiller during a start-up process. Thanks.

Only part I'd change is the purpose of access panels. I've yet to see an engineer out in the field doing the maintenance.

We will about to Do HVAC on a 600 sqm Disco club can you advise what to do about HVAC? Do we need a RTU and Split type aircons?

How to apply the right coating for anti-corrosion for rooftop units, especially for ducts exposed on the rooftop? Thanks!
reply

I am not sure if you have answered this, but what's the difference between a RTU and Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS?
reply

very well explained.
RTU also used a Hot water heat chilled AC, would be great if you can make a video about it

question: don't we have a packaged AHU that are not installed on rooftops? If we do kindly give an example, please
