I keep hearing all this news about the ocean water being contaminated. Please look at messages I sent you in April around the 8th of 2022 telling you about the micro toxin outbreak within my home that ate through my walls and hadie3 sediment throughout my home. I had to provide emergency medical care to my disabled son and to myself. I had to throw out furniture and clothing, pictures, and towels and blankets because of it. Low and Behold this came out. Please stop trying to fool the people into thinking the Montrose Chemical Corporations illegal dumping combined with DOW Chemical still in force with Mobile isnt using the same path in the piping of this toxic waste that will last for over fifty thousand years. Its not that the elected officials wont do anything. its that they cant. My beloved 27 year old husband died from a toilet explosion in 2020 from hydro-flushing from AECOM. All the offices I could tell I did. I spoke to the scientific environmentalists recently in Palos Verdes. Did they care. Heck no. Now all of a sudden someone else owns my home after 23 years and I am being evicted? Something is way wrong in this Southbay of California. Who Cares? I warned them in April

The first time I went to Arizona, Tucson, I was surprised by how much green grass there was. Just about everywhere in Tucson. I found a job in a copper mine, and on the way to town there was a area fenced off with warning signs. Danger: Keep Out!
So one day I asked why it was fenced off? The ground water had all been pumped out of the ground. And the ground was collapsing in that area. Sink holes?
I was out touring a new housing area one day, and, I noticed one yard in the development had a guy out in the yard. They had put plastic down in the yard and had put two inches of pea gravel on the plastic. The man working in the yard had an air compressor and was spraying the gravel with a -green- dye. I remember thinking, -the perfect yard/lawn-. And, if my memory serves me right, a three bedroom house was around $4, 500. Four inch block walls, no insulation and a swamp cooler.
I remember this well because of the ground collapsing. And this was in -1972-! And? Fifty years later people still have green grass lawns. In the desert. Makes one wonder, doesn-t it?

agriculture takes 80% of the fresh water, in CA coastal areas, we could change to only use sea water for agriculture for vegetables. this way millions M3 of fresh water will be saved to refresh the rivers and aquifer, i have designed a method, pasive use of sea water and can be extensively developed, to grow any crop with only sea water, this way we develop irrigation districts with sea water, any body interersted in doing some pilot tests, i need some coastal farmer willing to do it in their land, and some financial help to install at least an acre of some crop, like lettuce, strawberries, beets, herbs etc, tomatoes and chilies is kind of late in the season for that, it has to be some cold weather crop or in spring do tomatoes, chillies or corn. ok thanks

To hell with the dam environmentalist. I have always said that one of the biggest threats to Californians and to mankind in general are these psychos so called environmentalist and their crooked lawyers who care more about a dam creature like the delta smelt than humans. Democrats in Sacramento are at fault for allowing these pseudo environmentalist destroy or cause major damage to thousands of acres of California farmland that was left to dry and went unplanted for lack of water. Liberal Democrats and Pseudo Environmentalist. two human breeds that deserve to be locked up in prisons and throw the dam keys into the ocean. I am so sick of them!

The ca water problem has to do with idiots in every sense of the word. Last I was told family members of mine were filling sand bags and shipping them off to aid a leak in the pipe. I keep asking if it has been fixed no one will answer me. So I must assume it hasn't. From what I hear ppl think the new snow will aid the drought that has been happening for the better part of the last 15 years. Which is what I thought but from personal experience they just used more water while I was being forced to -conserve- garden system broken bc my medical plants were a waste of water. End rant fix the damn thing.

California's usage of canals is criminal. very few miles of it are covered. so almost 1/3 of all the water moved evaporates. Covering the canals almost totally stops that. Secondly. southern California should be using desalinization plants. like Israel. Israeli leads the world in turning their deserts into lush orchards and farmland while greatly reducing the salinity of the desalinization by product. But for what ever reason, The corrupt California governor Newsome refuses to invest in desalinization. Putting more stress on their rivers and people.

Awesome, awesome unbiased documentary! I live in the San Joaquin Valley and this pieced all the water concerns together perfectly! In my area the groundwater is heavily contaminated with nitrates from heavy agricultural use not to mention the carelessness of those running Castle AFB and all the contamination they caused to the groundwater quality itself. Subsidence is also a big issue. As groundwater is depleted, the ground at the surface can fall in elevation by as much as 30-50 feet or more.

I'm sure Gates will be by with his wallet opened gobbling up farmland for pennies on the dollar. He is a big supporter of geoenginerring. There might still be you tube video's on the use of chemtrails in conjunction with H. A. A. R. P. and how weather systems are rerouted away from the coast of California leaving lands parched. Desertification. This is a term for what is happening worldwide. It takes little to understand how are food supply will be threatened shortly at this rate.

I-m from wine country Northern California, just north of the bay. There used to be many apple trees here when people first settled, now you see nothing but wine. I get we have a special place to grow the grapes but they seem like a waste of space that could be growing more water saving plants. Or plants that can be used as food at least. California needs to update

We talk about lawns and pools and golf courses but I believe the biggest user of water in this part of the county is agriculture. By far. Yet a lot of farms still use flood irrigation. Switching to more efficient forms of irrigation and reusing treated waste water for irrigation isn-t enough by itself. It-s a very large piece of the puzzle though.

As the narrator started 39 million people. 100 years ago we had 3 million people. Too many people straining the water storage and supply. Since 1980 approximately 19 million illigal aliens came and never left. Democrats want more immigrants both legal and illigal Aliens. Do we really need more? Vote no on every Democrat running for office.

I live in Silicone Valley. Most people here rent apartments, as prices for houses are way too high. And guess what? We don-t have personal water meters in the apt complexes. So, people can use as much water as they decide, it the bill is just shared. That-s not very smart, I think, if we really try to reduce the usage.

Even more unsustainable than landscaping and needlessly using most fresh war is the agricultural industry. California is a state where droughts are common, yet we tend to prioritize the most water-consuming cash crops, like avocados & alfalfa (that's only eaten by grazing animals.

Hey California start building DESALINATION plants. up and down the coast! YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY! HOW ABOUT STOP TRYING TO GROW IN THE DESERTS! HOW ABOUT STOP GROWING CROPS FOR EXPORT! DESALINATION PLANTS. DESALINATION PLANTS. AND STAY AWAY FROM THE MISSISSIPPI!
reply

So no focus on the fact that 90% of their water problems are self inflicted? Using the water for water intensive crops like almonds, diverting water to allow cities to grow in the fricking desert, etc. As usual responsibility for their actions doesn't fall to Californians.
reply

I heard that tap water in California is really bad, do you think it might have something to do with the oceans in California? Because one of my friends believes tap water in California is so bad because of the oceans- but I-m not sure I-m not from California
reply

Let's talk about the quad zillions of gallons of fresh water underneath the SouthBasin City that was ruined by Montrose Chemical that is not a myth. It has 3 inches of sediment that could the whole dynamic of the population if it is even moved.
reply

The problem is: 80% of California's water goes straight into the ocean. The last water storage they built was in the 90's and now they want us to drink recycled urine and eat bugs, while Newsome and the elite dine at the French Laundry
reply

the IPCC data do not support the contention that there are changes in the environment beyond natural variation. Calf has an ancient history of swinging between draught and wet. The SW of the US has had dramatic draughts of over a century

If you want to learn more about Lake Owens and how the farmers there tried to save it check out Well there's your problem Episode 103: St. Francis Dam Failure. It's a podcast about engineering disasters, with slides

Build frickin desalination plants! We've got a frickin ocean next to us, but these frickin politicians have their heads up there A$$e'$. Good example of desalination working for countries, Israel, Dubai ect, ect, etc.
reply

Lakes, rivers of California are drying up but we just talk about conservation, we need to find ways to get water either from desalination or pipeplines from Mississippi river, Great Lakes or from Columbia River.
reply

I moved away from California to escape the corruption. There is no difference in the water. The difference is planned reduction of water storage. That's why there is no water. Socialism has deep tentacles.
reply

California-s water problem was created decades ago with help from the Sierra Club and the rest of the Greenies.
Southern California wastes more water than most surrounding states combined.

reply

Philippines could learn from California. Flooding is heavy in northern Luzon during typhoon season. The Pampanga River Delta being swallowed by the sea and NCR has water supply shortages.
reply

All of the money that is spent there on non essential projects, seems like they'd build some desalination plants as most of their larger urban areas are near the coast.
reply

I honestly don't think you can blame climate change for droughts when you've completely altered the natural water flow paths of basically all the water in the area.
reply

Dont care about California water problem. There isnt a problem that hasn't been brought on by themselves. Who the hell cares about their industry bozo
reply

California has a common sense problem. They have a 3. 2 trillion dollar economy and then waste 4 Trillion. It's not what you make it's what you keep
reply

The solution to the problem is navigating the route less traveled, desalination. Israel now has a surplus of the wet stuff, we can learn from them.
reply

We do not plan to restrict our water usage! Why are the illegals allowed to contaminate our drinking water! Send the illegals back to Mexico!
reply

Horrible Liberal leadership has led this state to the disgraceful place it's in, keep voting in idiots and be surprised that you continue to burn
reply

Artificial Grass is made of synthetic materials, it does not need to be watered at all. That's 1 way to use less water from the Colorado River.
reply

Well the population there is thanks to liberals' and their immigration policies. too many immigrants. now too many people.
