Petroleum - Modern history of oil on a Map

Let's retrace on an animated map a summary of the modern history of petroleum until the present day Jan: The USA didn't like the regime of Iran and suggested Saddam Hussein to start a war, which was supported money wise by the Gulf States. We know by now that Saddam couldn't win this war (1980 - 1988. All the Gulf States payed their contribution to Irak, except Kuwait. After that war oil prices dropped and the OPEC had a deal to drill less oil in order to support the oil price. But then Kuwait sold an amount of oil on the black market, which wasn't a help for a better price.
For this Saddam decided to get his money himself (1990. For more stability the US started GOLF WAR I against Irak.
The reason the USA started the GOLF WAR II was that Saddam Hussein didn't want the oil of Irak being payed in dollars, but in euros, by the way the same reason counted for Muammar Khadaffi, who wanted to be payed in Golden Dinar.
So these two wars was about the protection of the PETRO DOLLAR.

Your video is completely wrong. Number 1 pil is not a fossil fuel period. No fossil has ever been found in oil and oil is not found near fossils. Number 2 just like coal, diamonds etc. Oil is produced in subduction and abduction zones by basalt rock, extreme pressure, salt water, and heat. Number 3 Rockefeller was the first and only individual to name oil a fossil fuel and he knew the truth that it's not but if you make it sound limited then you can charge for it. Oil is produced everyday by the earth processes above and will be found in abundance around the edges of tectonic plates since it is also a lubricant in the deep earth. Please do your research and stop selling the lies and propaganda used to control people when there are no less than 10000 Wikileaks in the ocean every second of the day due to its abundance.

3: 57 You have no idea. Canada was being explored fully starting in the 1950's, and by 1958 thru 1963 the Tar Sands were mapped. Alberta has some, Saskatchewan more, then Manitoba, which has more. There is lots of oil in Canada, but due to NAFTA, Canada gave up the rights to the US. Sure, Canada can develop its own oil, but where does the financing come from? Canada does not want to, or is not allowed to finance its own infrastructure. Canadian finance rather go to more lucrative prospects than Canadian prosperity.

The world's first oil refinery was in Scotland. James Young (Chemical Engineer) applied the process of removing oil from shale rock and created the world's first oil refinery in 1850 in the West Lothian area of Scotland. James Young became known as 'Paraffin' Young. As oil was eventually discovered in liquid form under land, Young's process was no longer competitive/viable and was eventually phased out.

What do we primitive beings use oil for? Cooling Hmmmm, took us millions of years to develop science, Earth has been undergoing many changes over billions of years, I wonder if Earth uses OIL for cooling, I mean after 130 years of Oil consumption, now over 50 million barrels a day (2. 6 billion gallons/day) is it possible that GLOBAL WARMING is the same thing as running an engine on LESS OIL?

At 12. 40. another 50 years at current rates which paper or Energy Agency have you used to make this statement. World Energy Outlook. written by 45 energy agencies. an in-depth report 2008 put 2030 as the decline. .Cheap conventional oil is already in decline. if you read your petrol gas electric prices.

This explains much of the modern propaganda we see today. Great information mate, good job.
My only question would be what happens to the earth when we extract all the oil? Potential increases in natural disasters? I'm sure mother nature needed the oil down there for a reason.

reply

Thats why we need to harvest resources from space. We cannot hurt our mother earth further. We dont really know the effects of emptying ground rocks because oil is being pump out. We need resouces from our solar system. We need to invest more in space now or never

I always wondered why oil prices finally went down in 2014 after about 8 years of higher then normal prices in the US. This cleared it up.
The next frontier is oil exploration in the arctic circle which will enrich and empower the Northern Countries.

US may be a major producer of oil but at the same time they are the biggest consumer. production in US is around 10000+ bp and consumption is 21000+ barrel per day. Cost of production in US and many other places are extremely higher than in western Asia.

really well done video. hits the highlights of a very lengthy topic and timeline yet the graphics and explanations aren't overly complex and easy to follow. I esp loved the sliding scale to the left that showed how prices rose and fell over time.

UN coalition was not for Iraq war. there were USA and some countries that USA signed in, but this countries did not know, what USA did. So UN secretary Kofi Anan said, that USA attack Iraq was not ilegal! You are not know the history!
reply

Nicely done thanks. One main point: All our energy really comes from the sun. There are oil extractors, they extract and refine oil. Back in 1973 the media told us that oil would run out in 10 years. Hell yeah it sure did?
reply

Thing ppl dont know is that all the oil well when depleted after a few decades they replenish and fill up with oil again so it doesn't take million of years to produce. Biggest lie us ppl of earth have ever been told.
reply

THere are so so so many things we obtain from crude oil, eitehr directly or indirectly, that no one who is alive today will live to see the end of its mining / extraction. No one. Not even a newborn.
reply

Oil is never going to run out and all the price hike is pure speculation of the so called demand and production. The real price of oil should be under $20 a barrel and not one cent more.
reply

FILTHY dirty democraps in washingturd will change our standard of living from good to crap in no time, If we let them, vote them out, then hold tribunals.
reply

Global warming caused by CO2 emissions is a great big money-making fraud. CO2 levels follow changes in world temperature, not the other way around.
reply

Wheres the oil thats half fossils and half oil. Never wondered why theres no bits of dinosaur bones in oil? Do some research
