In Dinant over 800 people were murdered in August 1914, Leuven was burned down 600 killed, Antwerp was the bombed by Zeppelins killing people. People were used a human shields in several cities like Bruges. that are just a few of the attrocities comited by the Germans. THEY WERE NOT INFLATED or is killing Belgians is not so bad? HONESTLY this propaganda lie caused people not to accept the stories that Jews were murdered by the Nazi in World War Two. As they believed it were once again some inflated propaganda lies of the Allies used as accuse to fight the Nazis!

Soon the fulfillment of Isaiah 2: 4 will take place:
He will render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they learn war anymore.
We will enjoy absolute peace, for all the tragical events will be forgotten, according to Isaiah 65: 17:
For look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be called to mind, Nor will they come up into the heart.
And there is more.

The Schlieffen plan was essentially the same plan the Nazis used in the blitzkrieg, only with tremendous success. The German army and navy was also far superior in WWI to the Allies than the German army in WWII. By WWII, France had the largest army ever assembled up to that point and dwarfed the Nazi military apparatus. The irony is in how successfully the Nazis carried out the assault on France (in comparison to the German military in 1914, where upon they nearly immediately ended the French threat in a matter of days and shocked the world.

The video is great and shows the most relevant information about the main events that took place during the first year of the world war, using maps and images which are very appropriate for understanding the development of the war as the geographical aspect is key for the war. I enjoyed the way flags were used in order to identify which powers are being referred to and mainly how accurate the information is, without showing a specific perspective, and following the order of events making the understanding much simpler.

It is heart breaking to see all these historians never talk about the most significant and tragic event in history. Every year more than 30 MILLION people walk barefoot to the city of Karbala to remember the brutal murder of Imam Hussain (A. S) and his sacrifice for justice. Read about the battle of Karbala and you will be SHOCKED to hear what you have been missing all these years.

Germany is still the primary aggressor. With tens of millions of deaths in consciousness over just a few decades. Fortunately, after World War II the allies imposed a strong parliamentary system on it, which no longer leaves room for a mad leader eager for conquest. As early as 1870, France said that a unified Germany would be a permanent threat. And history has proven him right.

The animation and visual elements on the video provide the precise information needed to understand the complex course of the war, as well as all the events that were part of it. I would personally highlight the beginning and development of the trench warfare as the video accurately explains from the battles prior to it, to the endless casualties caused by it.

For some reason the Battle of the Frontiers doesn't get near the recognition for the ferocity of carnage as it deserves. In a month it's total casualties were close to Verdun's which was a 10x longer battle. Aug. 22nd 1914 the French had 27, 000 KILLED - easily more than the British lost on the 1st day of the Somme, their bloodiest day ever.

good video, the facts are really clear and it makes it easy to understand what happened. The animation is excellently made and makes the video more fluid, the maps and the movilization is clear and helps you understand every detail such as, the countries flags, their soldiers, basically everything that happened in the war in that year.

I really enjoyed the production of the video. It has a lot of elements that made the understanding better; such as the map. The colors of the countries let me diference them. I also liked that they put the dates in every historical moment, real photos of those years and causalities of each country.

I consider this video is excellent, as it mentions the fail of the Schiefflen plan, the race to the sea and exactly every event that occured during this year. Also, it is really easy to understand, as it shows the map and uses images, symbols, flags and transitions. Great video!

In my opinion, this video gives us a lot of important information about the trenches, soldiers mobilization and about the events that happened. Also, the images that they use, especially the maps are very good because is easier to understand how the troops were mobilizing.

I found pretty interesting the way the military tactics of the allies were explained. The photographs of the moments of the Trench Warfare were also helpful to evidence each soldier's position and how was their mental and physical capacity.

Wow. So in just a few years, that's probably around or more than the whole casualty of Napoleonic war? And then there's WWII. From what history tells me, war never goes away and I can't imagine how WWIII would be. Good God.

Great video! The visual elements of the video make it really easier to understand things like the mobilizations. Also it was really easy to understand your speech so it was easier to comprehend what you were saying

It was an interesting video, the animations were really eye-catching and helped with the assimilation of the information, the way it was narrated also was very understandable. The information was very useful too!

The short format doesn't allow for any indepth examination of these events of late 1914. This isn't intended as a critism as much as a recognition of the extreme limitations of You Tube.

The battle map music! I've played that game but I don't remember where it's from. Something like Panzer General or another topography war game. Nice little easter egg!

It is a nice video and it attracts my attention because of the images it uses, it also makes it easy to understand. That helps me learn this information in an easier way.

You really have the best voice, I'm just tired of hearing about napoleon lol. That's all great but there's so much more history I'd love to see you shine light on.
