After Rome - The War For Britain Tom: Thank you from Arthurs Seat to my stone heart - blessings of our shared soil upon you, - brother of purity, in steadfast fellowship kneel before the sovereigns of Brithanic mystery, passion and joie de vie for nature and our frightening egoistic war like past. May our past be a blueprint for our incumbent holographic reality, tempering our insanely over efficient technology of death with our prominent creative ability to survive and love all life. Let it be, the flowing of the mysteries, strange and charming energies into our subconscious inter connected Psyches to the Inky pages of the Bards that whispered the tales of warriors and knights into our ever needing ears to strengthen our resolve, to nurture our marriage to our soil. #SaveSoil by any means you can. Demonstrate by simple mundane gestures your love for the soil as this video does - It screams from every British Fort - what is mine remains mine as one mind, as one body and now as one evolved love - We shall never never be slaves. Caw caw caw, Ravens of the Tower walk, hop, skip & fly beside remembered Bards, Ovates and Druids just as children we still see the BOD walk through the twister mists of Arienhod and camalot. Forgive but never forget.

As for the reason for the severe climate cooling starting in 536 there is evidence for large volcanic eruptions in both Indonesia (Krakatoa) and in El Salvador. I now believe the world got a painful one-two punch with Krakatoa erupting in 535 followed by the central American volcano the next year. Interestingly, both the Plague of Justinian and the Black Death come after a cooling of the climate. As Bubonic Plague is carried by rodents and spread by mosquitoes, it is logical that changes in climate would cause movement of animal populations from areas where plague is endemic to places it is not. Also I have seen mentioned that the mosquito most associated with Bubonic Plague is most active within a specific temperature range and that may have contributed as well. The third (and last) Bubonic Plague epidemic was in 1855 which was not associated with a particular cooling that I am aware of, apart from it being toward the end of the Little Ice Age. Tambora was in 1815 and the more recent Krakatoa eruption was after that in the 1880s.

Re plague coming from close association with domestic animals - not so. Plague is a disease of RODENTS and their fleas. The fleas, once infected, leave a dead rodent to infest human homes and stow away in goods being transported, such as bales of cloth. Once humans are bitten by infected fleas, there is another route of transmission - a person with plague-infected lungs can spread it directly to other humans via coughs and sneezes. Cats are also more likely than other animals to develop pneumonia and can spread it thus to their owners. In the United States, outdoor cats can encounter fleas and plague from local rodents. I personally know of two cases in Colorado involving cats. A man died after catching a sick cat from beneath a cabin in Chaffee County, Colorado. A veterinarian in Loveland, CO, became extremely ill after treating a sick cat. Both cats died.

Viewing this on the heels of your The Entire History of Viking England, I craved a deeper understanding of the time between the end of Roman Britain in the 5th century, and the Viking invasions of the 8th. This video answered so many of my questions that there are too many to name. And I like the dramatic flair in your videos. It creates a nice alternative to and balance between the dryness of history tomes and the largely sensationalized versions of history in Western entertainment. Thank you for your hard work!

Amazing historic documentary. Does history repeat itself? Pre-literate cultures to literate cultures to today's digital culture with the same thirst for power, greed & arrogance that all eventually turns to broken stones & dust.

Great documentary. They say history helps up avoid repeating the same mistakes of the past but it appears that the last several generations were sleeping in class. The Romans couldn't fool mother nature and neither will we.

A worthy history of the British Isles, that took a lot of research, and a long time to make. It is appreciated. For those from the British Isles like myself, this is gold, knowing how we came to be.

Sounds like Climate change in 535 AD. Cant have been cars and aircraft flights then, maybe its just CLIMATE which changes from time to time and we are in one now.

Your Audio is all wrong! Music background keeps coming out louder than the narrator. Extremely distracting. Otherwise would have been perfect.

Absolutely amazing work. Such rich cultures with dynamic yet convalescent history, dovetailing eventually to help explain the modern age.
