Can we get a video about Antonina?
She follows her husband on his campaigns instead of staying back. Unlike so many other women of history or fiction who stay behind in the comfort of their home with woes about their husbands in far away lands she shares in her husband's duty and burdens. And not only gives she moral support like a passive bystander but she actively helps in Rome with intrigue, counter espionage and even logistics. A kind woman that any man should count himself fortunate to have by his side.

The fact that the early Byzantine empire, despite having such a robust economy, and despite having such a populous nation, nonetheless had to strip their Persian frontier of troops just to field an expeditionary Army of less than 20, 000 troops, speaks volumes to the inefficiency of early Byzantine military institutions, DESPITE the very impressive tactical and professional reforms of the early Byzantine Army.
It also likely suggest that the aristocracy of the early Byzantine state held considerable sway.

Say the emperor don't have to fear has a great general he just has to give him a proper reward by making him ruler of the city of Rome saying he was the prince of Rome not a king but a prince and he rules the city and the province and to make sure that those aqueducts are fixed Constantinople will send whoever is needed to fix those aqueducts

I love The logistics of the Roman empire like how they field their military is amazing to me. I love these vids because they show how it wasn't just Roman legions that made this possible. They fielded mercenaries and troops from surrounding areas that made a large impact of their strategies and man power. It's pretty cool imo.

Salona in not modern day of Split. Solin is modern of Salona. Split has taken over the functions of Salona when it was abadoned in the 7th century. Split and Salona today are two connected neighbouring cities where Split is the large center and Salona a small suburb city.

I've always loved history, but recently I've had a lower interest than usual. But these videos get me so immersed into these thousands years old events and the lives of the people involved that I again feel the thrill of learning about history.

And many later said and still say that the Eastern Romans werent true Romans because of their Greekness, later even calling it Imperium Graecorum or the Greek empire, well, Belisarius proves them all wrong and removes any doubt.

I'm kinda sad that you didn't mention the first ship mill in history, which was invented during the siege of Rome.
Also Salona is not modern day Split. Its near, but its not the same

Its this the war that is really the nail in the coffin for western rome. It was recovering under gothic rule. So its hard not to see the romans as the bad guys on this one.

I'll say this: you guys don't make a lot of videos but when you do, it sure is impressive. Quality over quantity should be the norm.

Belisarius deserves a Historical HBO Show in the tradition of Game of Throne or Rome. He was a character of Truly Epic proportions.
