Did Ethiopians or Nubians join the Crusades? Documentary Enrico: In the 11th century there wasnt even an Ethiopia, the axumite empire which controlled the entirety of modern day Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti and parts of somalia was destroyed in the 10th century ad and what was left was a disunited group of successor states some of which recognized the common abyssinian identity while the rest didnt, kind of like the post 4th crusade byzantine empire (before the restoration).
The Ethiopia he showed on the map never it represents non of the successor state as even the smallest of the states (kingdom of semien)was larger and located south of the area he showed, the sulatent of showa another successor was pretty much the size of France of the time and zagwe (a significant successor) had territories on the red sea coast so the map is inaccurate.
Note: semien and zagwe were like the latin states while showa and beteamhara were like the empire of nickea for anyone curious.

Imagine how much more advanced as a species, if we never got held back by Inbreeding royalty and fake religions. Sure say bedtime story books for kids are from an absent father figure; Other than that there is no proof. If there was you would think history would talk about a zombie walking around; Oh wait that's a lie as well. Also, humanity didn't come from Adam and Steve or whatever other lies it says, Human genetics won't allow that. example since I'm sure research is too hard to do, look up this video and then tell me an imaginary father figure could stop genetic defects. A History of Royal Incest & Inbreeding - Part 2: Royal Houses of Europe

1: 48: This is the funniest way that plan could have failed. It would be foolish enough to rely on a potential foreign ally without contacting them first in this era of global news and social media, but it's all the worse in the medieval period. The Crusaders just expected the Nubians to hear rumors of their arrival and mobilize an army at the last minute before following the Europeans' battle plans. Iconic crusader moment.

HistoryMatters, can you please upload a new video explaining the question on why the Soviet Union or Union Soviet Socialist Republics (U. S. S. R) didnt really annexed Poland and incorporated into it as a constituent republic like the way it did to the 3 Baltic Countries after World War 2?

Please make a video on why US-France relations soured over time. Your insight on British and American relations was on point and it'd be nice to see your take on French and American relations which were initially friendly.

One thing paradox games dont do right is they made it very easy to communicate diplomatic intentions. Even the diplomatic range in CK was a joke (but its a good joke since it makes reviving Rome in 1 generation possible)

Just a thought, if the African and European Christians made more contact and everything went to plan, possibilities such as colonialism and somewhat stripping of Africa during the colonial period may have been avoided.

your map is wrong, christian kingdoms in ethiopia/eritrea area would have been generally around todays modern borders, excluding the majority of the ethipian south. Somalia was never part of those kingdoms.
reply

So the answer is no with a but.
They weren't really in contact and there was just some sort of awereness of a Christian kingdom in the 14th Century.
Every previous attack of the both was just coincidence

I've a good question for you
Why the people republic of China didn't conquered Mongolia like Tibet?
( cuz we all know that both of them were part of the Qing dynasty)
Please +1 so he can see it

Europeans are too arrogant to ally themselves with Nestorian Christian Mongols or African Christians. Not to mention the Christian Armenia and Georgia that they constantly abandon from Muslim empires.

The caliphates were good at keeping people on their sides ignorant of each other. Learned it from the Persians. Where'd these spices and silks come from? From us. Don't worry about it, bro lol

It is so funny yet sad how modern Europeans will simp away their own history, selling out their own white ancestors, all for some trend. Those with a real passion for history know better.

0: 04 Armorica or French Brittany was never part of England but an independant kingdom sometimes allied to England sometime allied to France in those times, and then a French duchy
reply

2: 32 Oh, Europeans returned to Africa a few Centuries earlier than the 19th one. For slaves in their colonies.
New running gag: Frederick Barbarossa drowning in a river.

I have a question, maybe you could answer. Why in US is totally different date format than in Europe? US mm/dd/yyyy, in Europe (seems to be more logical) dd/mm/yyyy
reply

It really confuses me that the forced conversion of such a huge area is not remembered as it should be: a catastrophe that nearly destroyed many cultures

In the 16 century the ethiophians and the Portuguese east Indian company fight together against the Somali and ottomans but not as crusaders.
reply

Portuguese comtacted the Ethiopians and helped them in defeating Adal invasion. This was on the 16the century duting Portuguese Ottoman wars
