Do you know what anxiety is? Or what it might feel like to have it? Even if you answered no, its still important for us to educate ourselves and raise awareness about anxiety and other mental illnesses. And if you have someone in your life who you think might be struggling with feelings of anxiety, then it would do you a lot of good to learn more about what its like to live with anxiety so you can help eliminate the stigma against it and be there for them in the way that they need

I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder at the age of 8 and it was on the severe level on the grid or thats how my therapist explained it to me. Im 25 now and my anxiety isn't on the severe anymore its medium? and I am so lucky to have my husband by my side to help calm me down, he would say its okay, im right here, i wont let anything happen to you he would hug me until i would calm down. It might be just a simple thing that je can do for me but to me it's everything and he's my hero because of it. I have good amd bad days. And my bad days and i have anxiety which turns into a panic attack I cry and say over and over and tell my husband, im sorry i have anxiety I hate it and I want it to stop, i feel like a burden on you when we got together I told him about anxiety and he didn't know what it is was but knew of it so o explained and told him 1 major thing about anxiety, if were to get together I wanted him to understand that, my anxiety will never go away and you cant fix, no matter how much i tell myself that im okay my head still tells me otherwise, I should know better yes and i do but theres that voice in my head that messes with me and tells me why im not okay and says bad thinga will happen. Anxiety can however get better. Though its not gone it can get better. He understood and still stayed with me for 5 years helping get through it and him and I both noticed a big difference in my disorder. It went from everyday, to every other day, to twice or even once a week. It doesnt last for hours like it used to. It went from 3 hours + to 1 hour +. I believe its because of him because hes taught me and had shown me that im okay and i also believe my change in environment/people im around because i lived in a small town surrounded by terrible people that my mom or brother brought in or the constant drama. I moved to a different state surrounded by amazing kind people and made many friends and its reduced even more.
This is my own experience if you or a loved one has anxiety disorder please keep on mind everyone is different and my own experience may not help someone else.
To whoever read this paragraph pf a comment. Im sorry that must have been exhausting. However i hope you have a good day

So your thumb nail saying those with anxiety can't fix it. This is an affirming lie. Through Cognitive behavioral therapy the individual can stop making things life or death. Anxiety is our 6th sense. It's the sense that keeps us alive. The problem is instead of needing that sense to survive in the wild where an animal killing you is the worry. We take things like rejection, failure, not meeting expectations, etc to the extremes of life or death. Anxiety is just like smell, touch, hearing, sight, and taste. The biggest problem is those who reinforce the stigma that anxiety is bad and not normal. Everyone has anxiety. It's built into our human nature. Stop treating talking and interacting with people or situations as if they are life or death. It's super simple but as a society we are so sheltered and have abundance. When that shelter and abundance is taken away we treat it like life or death. The saying: Did we die or are we going to die? Is in fact how you overcome anxiety and master it as your 6th sense. This propaganda for over sensitive people is further hurting people. Because they only understand the feeling not where the feeling comes from. Simple science.

I'm 11 I have anxiety and panic attacks almost everyday wel panic attacks has nothing to do with this so skip it anxiety attacks happened a lot to me one time when my mum was scolding me (for typical things like didn't wash the dishes) even though it was a small topic nothing big I felt an unusual feeling in my stomach and I started feeling dizzy, I grabbed onto the counter near me and I remember my mum got worried and kept asking me are you ok? And I just kept on saying I'm fine even though I was getting really dizzy, the next thing I know I fainted my mum called the doctor and he said it was cause of anxiety and that anxiety cam to me cause of guilt that it was my fault I didn't do the thing she asked me to do. I normally pinch my hands or just play with my fingers when I get anxious and I start murmuring something I don't even know people even my own parents end up thinking I'm talking something bad about them to myself they fail to recognize that I do it cause I get anxious when they're scolding me I'm telling you I always get blamed or get scolded ALOT cause of my murmuring

Just remember, if you're struggling with any sort of negative mental health, it is not you! Some days, I can barely breathe in the morning because I'm nervous for the day. Then I get myself up, and no, not everyday is perfect. It's ok to be nervous! But should you ever feel your anxiety or other negative thoughts surrounding you, I'd suggest simply excusing yourself to the washroom, taking a deep breath, and think about it. If it's a person making you upset, think of ways to avoid or reason with them. If it's a presentation, try going over the basics of it in your head. No one else knows how your feeling, so just go for it! If your in school, the absolute worse case scenario is some jerks decide to be that. jerks, but it doesnt mean what they say is true.
So many more people are there for you.
So don't let it define you, no matter how hard it seems, you CAN overcome it.
Good luck!

I suffer from this horrific mental illness oftenand i have for all 21 years of my life so far, and I still dont know what actually triggers it, because its probably a plethora of things. People tell me its all in my head and that I need to snap out of it, especially my family, who has a history of severe anxiety throughout the lineage. I have my ways of coping with the illness everyday, and it includes spending time with myself for a couple hours or even a day, a daily medication, and fast coping mechanisms that Ill use throughout the day. And sometimes Ill spend time with friends for a couple hours, and that seems to help me a lot. No one is in this fight alone, and everyone who suffers from this horrible illness should always have people to go to, and access to coping mechanisms. You dont have to fight it alone.

Its hard. Its hard when I suddenly react negatively because I loose patience. It hard because I cant say no. Its hard because I know I look boring and quiet. Its hard because I cant handle any strong emotions without the thoughts or feelings. Its hard because I hate going out and just seem, lazy. Its hard because it make me feel like I use it as an excuse for stuff. Its hard because I get stomach problems and have to just brush it off in public. Its hard because I constantly blame myself. Its hard because I often overreact or under react. Its hard.
Its hard, I know.
But youre not alone.
Dont let it get to you.
You are strong.
We are strong.
You will be okay.
It will get better.
We can do this, you can do this.
Love from me, never stop believing.

I might not be able to fix it but you can bet I'm going to put up a good fight, I don't want it anymore I'm tired of it.
I'll do my best to beat it to a pulp, I know there's only a few things I should be afraid of, and it got way too out of hand, it doesn't need to be so bad, I will fight it.
Speaking of random anxiety though, this is true, a normal person would feel fear around certain things and people with anxiety would as well, but there's this certain place outside that sets off my anxiety like crazy it's so specific and so hard to understand, even I don't know what sets it off there, that's different from normal fear, that's how you know you have it if you somehow didn't know already.

I'm suffering from anxiety for a very long time. Medication didn't help. I came to very unpleasant conclusion it's my relationship that caused it. I don't have sense of security and safety in it. Living every day not knowing what to expect from person with long term depression. Every day is impossible to predict. Over time I must have had developed anxiety and panic attacks. I'm not sure anymore after ten years if i can keep going with it. As much as I love the person being with someone unstable due to depression is extremely draining and stressful. And they never happy no matter what you do. I can't do it anymore

Eveyone I met with anxiety either cheats, or is two faced.
I know there's another side, but there's also that side too. I've never met someone who has anxiety for the same reasons I do, which is more so from real trauma, and not from being narcissistic, and wanting to fool everyone. Which technically shouldn't even count as anxiety, it should simply be called power hungry. However they realize to fail they hunger for true power within, not the narcissistic kind. However because of society, so many people lost touch with that, and are learning the hard way.

I feel like you're wrong in the video it said anxiety is one of the most highly treatable illnesses out there I do not believe this I think if you have anxiety it cannot be fixed not one bit all it can do is get worse especially if you have no friends and nobody to rely on nobody to help you nobody that understands especially if you're broke poor almost homeless you can't afford to get a mental health professional to help you and I hate it that every single one of psychtagos videos say seek professional help well okay I will as soon as you tell me one that's free

I have severe anxiety(I think it's severe, it's definitely serious though) and depression. I really wish I could send this video to my friends, but we don't really like talking about stuff like this. But yeah, they do a lot of these things and it's sometimes really annoying when they say Just do something you love, it'll be better then! because no, it really won't. Maybe it'll make the anxiousness go away temporarily, but it definitely won't just fix my anxiety. I don't want to be mean to them though so I never point this out.

Thank you I have anxiety and mild mentally disability I think it good video they should teach this at school or for getting a job because A lot of people dont understand this They try but not always because my anxiety I get nervous and I do get physical problems too like not sleeping well having a hard time breathing I really want people to know it not in my head just like cant get out of it just like someone being sick with cancer or in car accident or people with seizures people can help by trying to understand

whenever I told my teachers i had anxiety (in the past, not now, they seemed to treat me like if they pressed the wrong button, a nuclear reactor would explode.
like, no, i'm not a ticking time bomb or a wild animal, just let me have my mental breakdown, then you can teach me all you want. Let me hide under my desk for a while, it's comforting smh.
worst part is i have social anxiety (mainly aimed towards adults, so their attempts to help only make me more anxious than i was before.

I do have anxiety. I have Autism. I'm still a human being underneath it all, and anxiety does not define me, in any way. I listen to music, and I heard something a lady who has anxiety mentioned in a video, and I was grateful. She went to a psychologist, and he said this. Would you give feelings of anxiety to someone you care about, or love? Of course not.
Because it's cruel, and unusual. Keep that in mind, and it tends to cut back on the duration of the anxiety you feel.

I don't think anything. I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and I am a recovering addict. Everyday is a battle with a voice in my head that hates me and wants me to die, but thanks to medication and lifestyle changes I can lead a pretty decent life. If your struggling with mental illness, I feel for you, I struggled for the better part of my 30 years on this planet. Its not your fault, you aren't the things your brain tells you you are, and I love you. Keep your head up.

Someone close to me has schizophrenia, which often presents as misdirected anxiety (this is true for myself too, though my diagnosis is different. I was just listening to him yelling at some friends, not because he's mad at them, but because he's upset about an unrelated situation, and I was so grateful to be watching this video in another room. Psych2Go helps me deal with normal stressors, with better understanding rather than anxiety. Wow!

I have suffered with horrible, severe anxiety for all my life, and my friends never really understood it- they'd say Just stop worrying so much or something along that line, and I've never really been able to explain it to them, so finding this video was a god send, and it helped alot with teaching them on it. Thank you so much Psych2Go, and please keep up your work, you help so many people and we all appreciate you alot

Yes, these are very true. Sometimes, whenever people try to 'fix me' or say 'it's just in your head, 'it increases that stuff! It makes me feel like I need to live up to those good standards like they're saying, even though it isn't possible in my current state. Also, putting people down about things that make them anxious isnt pog. Neither is forcing that anxiety inducing thing on them. Just. dont do it

Psych2Go I used to be a rlly shy person and I didn't have many friends, and the friends I do have didn't really want to talk to me much, so then I started watching your videos and now I have more friends and I'm now talkative in class and my friends like to be around me because I used some of your psychological tricks, your videos have really helped me thank you

Idk, I feel like the mental part of anxiety, I can manage really well. Its the sweating in my palms that quite frankly pisses me off. I really value hygiene, but my palms just need to be disgusting because of some dumb brain disfunction. Idk if Ill ever be able to hold hands with a girl without her thinking Im gross. That makes me even more anxious

I'm having anxiety on trying to find myself before I change the species of my fursona and unsure on what animal is more suiting in any way.
I ended up cutting back of being a cat because I got scared of the feral flaws. Then thought about how a dragon can be much better but now I just can't feel anything but to cry everytime I talk.

We all have anxiety. But some have it worse than others, and it's important to spread awareness that your anxiety may not be like their anxiety. I personally think things we say can make anxiety worse. Saying that things are cringe or childish can be upsetting for someone if they remember what you say. Just be aware of what you say.

I'll have a few good days and randomly i will get triggered by things and i do try things that will help calm me down because i also tend to overthink too which doesn't make it easier but im getting better at handling it as time goes on and everyone's journey is different.
Everything will be okay

My parent are very guilty with Number 1. I had therapy for a little while for my anxiety. The therapist sucked and told me its all in my head since I didnt have any of the symptoms anymore after a few weeks. My parent stopped therapy and said I was cured of it.
