I watched this knowing I am indeed burnt out, but I didn't expect the symptoms to actually call out the way I was feeling. The points that hit that hardest were that my work performance is deteriorating and the isolation. I have been waking up late and I genuinely didn't know the reason why until you pointed it out. It's incredibly overwhelming that even on my off days I will wake up in a panic when I don't hear my alarm go off, thinking I'm late again. I get scared of getting fired, I get scared of how I'll make up the money and if I can find another job. It's worse since I work from home, I never really feel like I get away from my job, and it also enables me to shut everything and everyone else out. After watching this, I know I should rest but money is so tight right now, I can't afford to take a break. I'm tired. I don't feel like a person anymore.

Ive been feeling depressed for almost 3 years and I always feel sad that i couldnt accomplish my goals in my life cuz i always feel tired and all i do is fantasize about my future and never starting anything and the fact that my parents think im just lazy and always a negative thinker just hurts me more i couldnt move on, most people think im fine, but deep inside im just hiding all of my problems in my life, i really hate the fact that many people i encounter are cry babies their basically looking for attention and sympathy, but i dont hate them it just feels unfair, especially since im always the helpful and nice person to them, and concerned about their life, im basically the therapist that doesnt get therapy. Im so deeply sad that I feel like my purpose in my life is being wasted from all of my problems. Pls pray for me.

I hate giving term to something that I'm feeling because i think I am making a big deal out of nothing. But these symptoms do match with what im feeling, my concentration on studies is just too bad, i can barely sit for half an hour, i do procrastinate a lot, i often isolate myself from others and talking just feels too stressful and yes my hobbies don't excite me. Instead of not being able to sleep I sleep too much and still feel tired? Is that normal. I still don't feel like i should term it as me being burnout, I think I'm just thinking too much into it. Also does it happen in episodes, like some days would be all good but then comes series of days when you just feel no, just no. If someone could tell, that would be helpful.

Im very burnt out, Im an all A student and I hate it, its something I always thought was a good thing but Im constantly struggling to keep my grades and if I miss one assignment and get a B+ I feel like a failure. It doesnt help Im working and dealing with transferring out of normal foster care to adult foster care (my new caseworker has been ignoring my text and refuses to help me figure out anything even though thats her job. I want to take a break but every time I let down my guard either something bad happens like all of sudden I have two missing 40 point assignments that I didnt know anything about or time goes so quickly its already Monday. I dont know what to do and my foster family is pretty much like suck it up buttercup

I suffered from bad burnout my last 2 years of high school and all through college, to the point I dropped out multiple times. It took me YEARS to recover. The six week summer break was just never enough for me. Please remember that burnout doesn't just affect people working multiple jobs, it can affect people with normal workloads, everyone's tolerance is different! (In my case I have chronic illnesses that mean my tolerance is much lower- I know that now and as a result of respecting my limits my capabilities are MUCH better. I'm never gonna match the workload of my peers that I studied with, but that's ok, because I've found the best way to be me)

I've suspected I was experiencing burn out. I find myself overeating & yet morning satisfies me. I spend money on something I see trending only to be disappointed with it when it arrives. I've been burned out before but never this bad. Work feels like a waste land & I'm not sure how to right my sails again. Where to start? Something outside of work might help & to start walking again. To get into a hobby I feel good about & excited for. Those are starters, I guess. Thanks for the video I needed that introspect.

4. No interest in talking to my colleagues and even family members.
5. State of high negativity and constant pessimism.

After having been told that my extreme patience is more of a fault than a plus, I am now less patient and finding that doing things myself is waaaaaaaaay better than patiently waiting for others to get themselves together year after year. It just makes me even more independent than I used to be, which totally pisses off all the narcissists who used to be in my life!

Burn out is my daily bread. I've been feeling so disappointed for so many years. I'm a public school teacher in my country and I though I loved this career, but it turns out that I don't. There is a lot of stress and suffering behind my wide smile and cheerful personality. Today I couldn't stop crying because my students missbehavior and aggressiveness.

What's sad is I've been through this before. All these symptoms. Got diagnosed. Got treated. Went about 8 years before I hit this again and, like the last time, I was in denial until very recently (and I was/am medicated, had my psychiatric meds increased. This video hit uncomfortably home about my behavior for the last several months.

Wow, I didnt think it would hit this close to home. Except for one (the impatience, I experience all of these signs, three of them (procrastinating, sleep problems and performance decrease) really strongly. I always thought that it was just who I am, but I guess I have just been stressed out for a good part of the last decade now.

I'm burnt out not because my job is stressfulit isn't, it's super chillbut because maintaining an autism mask in the office is exhausting and because I'm contract-to-hire I haven't had a vacation in over a year.
It's terrible because I do really like my job, but my mental health struggles with what others find easy to bear.

The no 3. I think another symptom could be being extremely patient as in unrealistically patient because you are so tired & exhausted that you just give up on everything, you dont give any opinion at all let alone raise voice. Giving opinion seems unnecessary, like what change would it make.

I def think I am but my job is only 5 hrs of my day, I just spend the rest of the entire day trying to be productive, working out, applying for other jobs, and consuming way to much YT self-improvement and maybe Im burned out by worrying about it so much and not liking my job, my life.

The 6th and 7th ones hit me right at home.
Think of a history of disciplinary actions due to frequent tardiness and stress eating (caused myself to gain weight during 10 useless years at my job - 95 kgs at present. Also feels like dragging yourself all the way to work every morning.

Well that can't be right/ According to this I have been burnt out for 9 years, and I don't think you can be burnt out for that long. When I hear burnt out, I always imagined just feleing these things for a few days. Still though it got me thinking so thank you for that

I haven't done my hobbies for about 4 years now because people want me to focus on academics. Now, I'm severely stressed out, but before, I was one of the most calm and cheerful people. The worst of all is that because I'm introverted, no one ever notices how I'm eating myself up.

for me it's actually the opposite of not being able to sleep. i sleep so much and so easy and then i stay like 1 hour preparing myself to get off the bed, sometimes it's really hard and I've missed lots of social events this past months just bc of not being able of getting up.

Well, according to this, I've been at least in the early stages of burnout since about middle school (I'm 28 now. It's only been in the past couple of years thar I've really started just isolating myself without much care or motivation to do anything I once loved.

My problem is that I'm autistic and some of these points are things I've just always struggled with. But I have to admit that I've been constantly stressed about something for literal years. But my plan is to talk about everything in therapy.

Well these are accurate and the part of being impatient is so true- when it comes to school when my classmates where doing their work and it's dismissed time I just suddenly pick up my bag and ran through the door like I don't even care anymore-

I really dont have time for a break right now
I need to focus on school and my friend is having a hard time, but a week ago or so I had the worst anxiety attack ever
I want a therapist but I already ask so much of my parents
