It really can't be overstated just how important it is for one to know themself. Know why you are the way you are, what makes you tick, how to figure out what you want or need in life, and what really matters most.
As a society, it's useful to have psychology as a way of trying to grapple with human nature. What makes us the way we are?
As we get closer to understanding, we can structure society, governments, workplaces, economies in a way that best suit our needs, promote human happiness, and well-being.
We operate on many faulty assumptions, and live our lives based on fallacious premises, which leads to repression, and I believe that in large part contributes to needless human suffering or angst. Psychology, and I would also argue, Philosophy, can help us overcome these barriers.

I want to persue Clinical Psychologist as my career in the future and this video really helped me understand and configure what types of therapists, psychologists ext. exist and what they are meant for. Thank you very much for making this video as now ( if I am able to get my degree ) I can help people mentally and physically. And for the people who are wondering this is what I say I want to be able to help people with help I could never get, and as I've been through some rough stuff myself I want nobody else to feel that pain.

The reality is you will not be employed with aobve mentioned job, with a bachelor degree in psychology.
In my country, college admission counsellor require a bachelor in social work, or master in counselling.
You are also not going to be a research assistant as most posts prefer master or post-doc.
As a psychology degree student, those jobs you mostly apply for, do not need a degree, or even a general degree for social science.
Think twice before you applying a psychology bachelor degree.

I'm a 2nd year BA Psychology and Economics double major student from India.
Economics broadened my mind 100 times more than psychology could ever have and is far more interesting and fun, psychology may seem interesting at first but later on you see that it's basically just learning biology with a few psychological theories here and there, and it's absolutely boring (just my opinion, research well before taking psychology because it depends on and varies according to the college/uni)

I Never Believe Psychology At All. Then, I dont or Never Projection or Reflect myself to the my original countrys Death or Destroying at all.
Sometimes, Psychologist try to Manipulate people without Directly interviews, its maybe psychologists are Afraid of patients who doesnt be Kind or Respect patients, Just Psychologists NEED Money A Lot.
Psychology is NOT Science or Medical.
But, Psychologists want to be Medically position at their positions, because of Money.

I am currently looking at studying psychology, I am a bit young to be looking at my future and what majors I should study, but this topic has really interested me as I can read people very easily and have an Aunty who is a psychologist, I do know just because I can read somebody easily and have a family member who is a psychologist doesnt mean I could just become one as it does take a lot of work and time in school and college but I am determined in studying psychology in the future.

I totally love psychology, the thought of studying human behaviour and being able to help people is exciting and sounds like something I'd do for a living. Military psychology sounds super cool but I can't be at the base that's scary. I think I'll just go with Clinical psychology or as plan B Speech-Language Pathology.

The moment they mentioned forensic psychologist, i remember my lecturer telling us to not pursue in that career bc there's no possibility of pursuing in that career.
BUT on the other hand, you guys mentioned Military and Sports! I did not consider those options, thank you

I might be getting into Bsc psychology, but alot of people said the degree is useless and you can't really get any job unless you spend alot of years only studying it

I love psychology because it brings truth. As a psychologist I would consider myself the light bearer amplifying the truth in oneself. I would intent to provide an opportunity to restore balance so that individual is able to practice sovereignty.
